F*%#ing Mantei blows it again. two outs and no one on and he walks the next guy and then gives up the tying home run. When will Brenly learn?

Tracy is having a horrible game. He has left a lot of runners on and now he throws the ball into the outfield on a pickoff and now the winning run is on third with only one out.

Breny needs to take full responsibility if they lose this one.

Valverde comes in and saves the inning. I wonder if Brenly will now have faith in Valverde instead of Mantei? Rally time.

What clutch pitching by Valverde....He seemed more composed and just went after the batters...a concept that Matt Man"Tie" hasnt seemed to grasp....

If Valverde isnt inserted as the closer soon, then Brenly must get a full-frontal lobotomy....

Edit: I still cant figure out why Brenly placed Tracy at 1B in such a pressure situation when he's lacked experience there....Oh...thats right...because they have an excess of catchers on the roster....

Edit #2: Why did the Dbacks recall DeVore if they haven't used him the role I
I thought they would? Which would be a late inning replacement for
Gonzo... True, they might need his bat, but still.... I just can't fathom this lack of logic.......

Valverde gets them down again. It is very obvious Valverde is the closer now.

Terrero would look really good as a late inning replacement for Gonzo.

That throw into third looked awful, albeit he really had no time. Still, I've seen better arms in church leagues.

- Mantei just bought himself a ticket to middle relief with this last outing.

Unfortunately, the reason why the Dbacks wont promote up Terrero is that they want him to play every day and he wouldn't be doing that with the Dbacks... Though they promote up DeVore apparently for the reason you mentioned they should bring up Terrero, but I believe he hasnt seen any action yet...

Now..Sadler their only other OF just sustained an injury, so probably Terrero will be forced to be brought-up now out of necessity....

Mantei should be placed on the DL....Enough said on him since I like everyone else is baffled as to why he's still a closer....

Kata knocks in Bautista to make it 5-4 D-Backs. Up to the bullpen to hold them.

What a waste of a game. It should of never came to this thanks to Mantei and Brenly.

OK, fresh start at Wrigley. Scott Hairston called up, Bobby Estalella designated. Sadler day-to-day at the moment.

Come on Scott Hairston! When you get the chance, strut your most big-league-batterly stuff.

I do not understand the lineup. Hillenbrand hitting 4th and Finley 5th, it should be this way, Bautista 4th and Tracey 5th Finley 6th Hammock 7th and Hillenbrand 8th. That is just my opinion though.

The drawback of placing Bautista into the clean-up spot is that you're removing him from his "comfort zone".... He'd begin to try to pull everything, however, I would insert Finley into the clean-up spot since he's a natural dead-pull hitter..
Hillebrand (in spite of his 3 hit game effort on Sunday) still hasnt found his niche thus far and I do agree about batting him in the lower third of the order....

Do you guys think that Sosa is looking at our next three and sees it as a slump buster since we are putting Sparks, Diagle, and Dessens

hopefully Sparks can keep it up for 6 or 7 innnings, since I think he is our best shot of the 3 going in this series of keeping us in the game.

0-0 after one. It would be nice if Sparks could give this team at least 6 solid innings.

Kata is a homer shy of the cycle and it is only the 4th inning

I think that this team is starting to gell, and once we gets Sexon back, this lineup may get scarey

6-0 D-Backs! The season has a long way to go and this is a weak division. Keep the faith.

Sparks pitched very well. Don't know if he should of pitched to Sosa who hit a 3-run home run to make it 6-3. Koplove came in and finished the Cubs off in the 8th. 6-3 D-Backs in the 9th.
