Oh - guess that was while I was out cleaning the dog run - plus I have the sound off (can't stand Joe Morgan)- I take it back, Zona - that's twice he's done that now. It doesn't seem to work... Slow learner, I guess.

Well, THAT series suqued. Seems we are looking at the downhill slope of the ol' roller-coaster again. Let's be honest - as currently constituted, this team has some major weajnesses. The manager and GM being only two of many. :D

If this team is out of it by July and they play the second half for next year, what players will be on the trading list? I wonder if veterans like RJ and Finley would waive their no-trade clause to play for a contender one more time? Remember, that is if the team is out of it by July and there are a lot of games until then.

These next seven games will really tell us a lot. Let's see if they can rebound from this series. Thankfully the Mets and Expos are next but those teams could be saying the same thing.

Well, you KNOW their mediocre and/or rookie pitchers are drooling, thinking, "D Backs!! Here comes my Cy Young bid!!" :D

here is tonights lineup and batting order

Tracy 3B
Hammock C
Gonzo LF
Hillenbrand 1b
Finley CF
Bautista RF
Cintron SS
Kata 2B
Diagle P

If Brenly is going to shake up the lineup why not move Hillenbrand to 6 and Bautista to 5th and Finley 4th, but that is just my opinion

Now that is what I call a desperation lineup!

4-2 Mets. Defense is really hurting Daigle. It's early but this team is not very good right now.

Diamondbacks get a gift run when the wind takes Tracy's flyball for a ride. Chad is then thrown out at home on a grounder by Hammock. 4-3 Mets after two.

This is going to be a long game. It's 7-4 Diamondbacks and it's only in the 3rd inning.

Keep in mind this is the umpiring crew that called back-to-back games between the Reds and Cubs where the score was 13-11 earlier this year. So this going to be a long game

BTW Tracy hits a 2 run HR and the score is now 9-4 D-backs

Tracy just went deep. It's now 9-4. Diamondbacks need to take advantage when they play teams like the Mets and the Expos.

Gonzo hits another HR and the score is now 10-6.

LOL people were asking for a curtain call from Gonzo and Sexson tried to do it for him

Finley goes yard. 11-6 in the 4th. Now we know why Curt wanted the roof closed when he pitched here.

Well Finley hits a HR and the score is now 11-6.

Is this game ever going to end? We're about 2 hours in and still only in the 4th inning ... Yikes!

Cintron with an rbi single and it's now 12-6 in the 4th. Daigle needs to pitch 7 or 8 innings tonight. Give the bullpen a rest and let the Mets go deep in their bullpen.
