Those are the same thing. We have a less than 10% shot at a wild card berth. I don’t understand what the distinction is.

We have a #2 right now in MHJ (who hopefully turns into a great #1 by next year). He needs a good #1 like Hopkins this season, which they don’t have right now.

how about an experienced NFL vet that can take advantage of single coverage regularly? Maybe Mike gets there next season. I dont think he is there at this moment.

two pretty good teams -- the Lions and Eagles are both run oriented like the Cards, but both also invested first round picks for 2nd WRs: Lions-- Williams, a 1st Rd pick. Eagles -- Smith a 1st round pick.

Kyler doesn’t need a #2.

The offense in general needs a speeder/YAC threat. Something that Kyler, Petzing, or Gannon can’t fix right now. That was my worry before the season & it’s obviously a worry to everybody now.

Not buying this. An overall of doubling your wins from the previous season. The progression of the D and playing some legit teams close all year with a chance to win? I’d say the team would feel good overall and realize they have something to truly build on. JMO. Fans don’t like to hear it but there are some moral victories in a sense.

Sorry, no. I will blast this team to kingdom come if they lose 5 of the last 7 and they will deserve it. It will also have shown Kyler can't win anything even approaching significance, which is a double whammy against the rebuild. How do you build for sustainable playoff access and success if you can't count on your highest plaid player/QB?

Eh, it'll all be elementary, right? We'll win out with Kyler playing hero ball and will go on a playoff run. Hey, a poster can dream, can't he?

There is no distinction, I made that clear. I'm just not "Come on let's make the playoffs!"

I'm "Let's win the division, and see what happens in the payoffs but I expect to get blown out".

Overall the team may take a moral victory from a collapse like that would entail, but that doesn’t speak to establishing a winning culture, IMO. And it really won’t speak well for Kyler, moving forward.

All we heard all season was how tough our schedule is. If we were to collapse at the end of the season against the soft part of the schedule, that looks like a team stuck in mud or descending while making the first half look like a mirage.

Which sadly is the tale of our most important player’s entire career. And the more that pattern repeats itself, the longer the franchise will be in a holding pattern.

And for all those that will point to the Lions again, saying we’re following their same path following an 8-9 season will totally miss the fact that the Lions started their second season looking awful and then rose throughout the rest of the year, giving something to build on once they saw what was working. That’s very different than a total collapse against a soft schedule which will entail trying to figure out what went wrong and fixing just to get to back to mediocre and then also trying to get better as well.

win 4 games in a row - lose 2 games in a row - neither of which we were favored in most all our eyes - but both games we should've won in most our eyes

im not chugging the koolaid - we're jinxed in the redzone right now - the redzone chokage is why we lost the last 2 games - our soul crushing offensive redzone chokage is also negatively effecting our defense

as far as doom and gloom goes - nobody knows until we play seattle - if we get smacked in our own house after getting smacked in there's? that alone sinks our chances at the division and flies in the face of any so called culture change

but... if we can lift this redzone curse on sunday and get in the damn enzone it's on like donkey kong

Really disappointed that MHJ hasn't played like a #4 overall pick. Nabors, or even Brian Thomas, have gotten off to better starts on worse teams.
