Watching that game closely on ESPN Gamecast live.

Gamecast Live > everything else.

IMO CBS is much better--the updates are much faster. Graphically, ESPN is better though.

This reminds me of one of those games when Jason Kidd was the point guard here. There are a lot of turnovers. Neither team is running a half-court offense for ****.

Do you guys remember how boring those teams were to watch, even when they won the games?

Final Score:

Portland 81
Houston 66

We are now 1 full game ahead of the Rockets. We need to win tonight to extend our cushion...

I was thinking the same thing. It's like watching high school junior varsity out there with the varsity's star player (Marion).

We need to win tonight to have a chance. It doesn't give us a cushion at all, dont forget that we need to finish 1 game ahead. So us winning tonight would in reality have us being only a half game ahead for the playoffs

We need to finish at least a half game, not a full game. It won't matter, as long as we aren't tied (or worse), we're in. If we win tonight, we will be 1 1/2 games up on Houston going into tomorrow when we face Dallas and they face Utah.

And how do you suppose we will finish the season with a half game lead Chap??? :D

I was talking about how we need to have a full game lead to get into the playoffs. Therefor a victory tonight would give us a 1/2 advantage for getting the 8th spot.

Man, the Nuggets really suck. Look at their spacing and where they are on the court. Do they even run plays??

Anyone else here feel that game would have been much closer in the final quarter if the referees had actually called some fouls against the Phoenix Suns inside? I thought they were hacking the Nuggets in the paint.

By the 4th quarter I was asleep on the couch so I couldnt tell ya. The officials were probably just waiting for it to end like all of us were. I swear, I have never watched a more painful game, and I think I am a little to obsessed with this team since I couldnt change the channel

Fouls or no, the Denver Nuggets are just an awful basketball team. I mean, we totally dominated them (finally) in the last half of the 4th quarter. They might have gotten some foul shots, but they couldn't do anything against our offense.

Nice win.

Don't get too caught up in the "we are 1/2 game up" the stat to look at is losses. Phoenix is two up in the loss column. :)

So if Houston wins out  (not gonna happen). The Suns can lose 1 and still go to the playoffs.

The Suns should just worry about each game, Leave the scoreboard watching to us. :D

anyone else notice that dallas' game is pretty late tonight? I mean it is only in the second quarter according to espn, and it is 9:30 dallas time I think. So not only do they have to play the lakers which will be tiring enough (especially since it is close), they have to wait until like 11 for the game to end, then fly home.

It's 8:30 right now where they are playing--near halftime, so the game started at 7:30. They are in LA, and probably won't go home to Dallas, they'll probably fly from LA straight to Phoenix for tomorrow's game.
