Well, it sounds like I didn't miss much of a game, but the good news is that everything went the right way for the Suns tonight. They won a game they had to win, and Houston lost a game that the Suns pretty much needed them to lose.

So far, so good.

And I was upset I had to miss the game tonight. Everything worked out well. Even Dallas lost, which increases our hopes for drawing San Antonio in the first round.

"It was Marion's 37th double-double. He has 23 games of 20-plus points and has scored 20 or more points in 28 of 42 games."

Denver is not as bad as they are now playing. They have a lot of young talent and a coach that is coach by default…. Nobody wanted the job, but after they either get the #1 or 2 pick, I’ll make a bet that they can get a real coach. I also think Howard will stay with them. It seems to me they are playing for next year and they’re competing with the Cavs for last spot and the rights for the #1 pick.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying the "tank" word:D The're just not putting any effort into winning games.

Some of their players are either very good or have the potential to be: Tskitishvili F age 22 #5 pick 2002, White F age 22 #9 pick 2001, Howard F age 30 #5 pick 1994, Halario F-C age 20 #5 pick 2002, Harvey F age 22 #22 pick 2000, Camby C-F age 29 #2 pick 1999, Andersen F-C age 24 Selected by the Fayetteville Patriots in the first round (first pick overall) in the 2001 NBDL Draft...Signed as a free agent by the Denver Nuggets on 11/21/01

They need a PG & SG

Some possibilities for 2003: James PG age 18 #1 pick 2003, Arenas * age 21

Skita is only 19 not 22. I think he is the second youngest player in the league actually. I think they have a good coach for the time being. I don't believe that anyone else could have them play so hard every night. He will probably need to be replaced once the talent gets higher, but he seems to be a good guy to have around the youngsters. Wait for them to be stars before giving them a star coach. I just love how everyone seems to respect him on that team. I mean I havent heard anything bad coming from that locker room, which is more than I can say fo other rebuilding franchises like Cleav, GS or Chicago.

Actually, I feel like Denver has the least talent, by far, of any team in the league. Bzdelik is doing a great job, all things considered. The fact that they won't finish dead last with this roster is astonishing to me. Look at some of the talent on the Cavs: Ricky Davis, Zydrunas Ilgauskas, Dajuan Wagner, Darius Miles, Milt Palacio(oops, typo). They are like the extremely poor man's Portland Trailblazers. All they need to do now is pick up Zach Randolph and Qyntel Woods and they'll have the market cornered.

(Even Zydrunas is dirty. Does anyone remember when he flat out tripped Penny going to the basket, very obviously, and then complained about the call?)

Yeah, he's a nice guy, but you know the saying about nice guys as to where they finish.:D :D :D Denver burned up everyone in the summer league with Bzdelik coaching and I thought they would at least give teams a run for their money. I believe that if they had a more experienced coach, they would have done much better, but they got used to loosing and now the're in a race for last place. I will agree that Bzdelik DID (as in past-tense) have them playing hard, but now they are only going thru the motions waiting or praying for the season to be over.

Afterthought: FJ is a nice guy compared to Skiles and the players were (again note the past-tense) speaking highly of him for a good part of the season. I wonder how they feel now??? I wonder if they question his coaching ability as many of the members of this board (self included). All great coaches are strong motivators and I believe that FJ started out above average in movivating and has gone downhill as the season progressed. Perhaps JC need to consider adding a strong motivator like Zig Zigler, Tony Robbins or Charles Barkley.
 While he's at it, a rotation coach would be a good idea and perhaps someone to controll when we call time-outs. I think these additional coaching positions would be extreamly helpful since it appears as if FJ's going to be around for at least another year.

I wish Frank would have put the gam away earler though. He let Casey, Langi play to many minutes in the 1st half. O-Well a win is a win. Boy did Amare try to do to much or what. This thing with NENE is getting way to wierd. Good Win lets get Dallas know.

I love Amare Stoudemire, and I think he's going to be a spectacular player. However I do have to wonder how good some of these other guys like Hilario would look if they were playing for this Phoenix Suns team.

I think Hilario is going to be a great player in the NBA, but I'm not sure how good Tskitishvili will be. I would love to see the Suns play Hilario at C, Amare at PF, Marion at SF, Marbury / Johnson / Hardaway / Jacobsen at *. BUT..... he may be too big to play for any length of time and as soon as he made a mistake he would be on the bench....... only the small guys can screw up and still get a lot of time.

Can anyone who helps run the site explain this bizarre error? I also have gotten it a few times. It won't print the letter "gee" -- you know, the one between F and H -- by itself. It just turns it into an asterisk. It seems to happen for both upper and lower case. Really strange.

That's weird - Probably because the * stands for a wildcard and can play any position including PF & C:biglaugh:
