Haha, it amazes me how many "fans" on here always threaten they are done with the Suns. If you are a fan than be a fan regardless and if not than don't be a fan when we do end up winning a title (I hope).

I agree, it's not a big deal. Just pointing out that ESPN has reported on it. It's not all that newsworthy simply because Shaq has done this everywhere he has played. If he follows his pattern, he will keep quiet and play hard until the Suns lose a few then you will hear the "touches" comments followed by on off season trade demand. Shaq has played great this year and he is no dummy. He will continue to do so to keep his stock high and hope for a trade to a contender (like he missed out on with the Cavs) in the off season. Not really precident setting news here since he has followed the very same scenario on all 3 teams he has played for previously.

This isn't any different than pettiness in any office. It's just more glamorous and involves millionaires. The only player who is untradeable is the one who is vastly underpaid. Especially in NBA transactgions where contracts have to match up, if you are on the block you have been compensated more than you can ever complain about.

The Suns center was said to be unhappy that he was mentioned in trade talks, particularly one that would have sent him to Portland. He denied being upset Saturday, sort of.

"I don't want to be in wherever they were trying to send me," O'Neal said. "But it was cool. Thank God for (Suns General Manager Steve) Kerr and the people upstairs. I'm just happy to be here."
Had O'Neal been moved, the deal would have been financially motivated by Raef LaFrentz's expiring contract and a chance to avoid O'Neal's $20 million salary next season. O'Neal said he appreciated that Kerr was honest during the process.

Though the Suns are without Amaré Stoudemire and an offense that utilized him in post-up situations often, O'Neal thinks the Suns have a shot to rise five places in the Western Conference standings and get home-court advantage in a first-round playoff series.

"If I'm out there, the belief is always going to be high," O'Neal said, again adding later, "If I get more touches, I will deliver."

Shaq got butthurt over trade talks.....so freakin what?
Just shows me that he wants to be here, not jump ship for the next contender.
If the Shaq haters wanna hate then go right ahead.
He's still been the most consistent and most valuable player on this team from day one back in November.
