damn....you folks are pathetic.

I grew up a Raiders fan, and only changed over when the Cards came to Phoenix. My entire family is filled with Raiders fans...my 68 year old mother is a Raiders fan.

The fact that many gangsters and thugs choose to associate themselves with the silver and Black is a source of shame for every Raiders fan in the country.
The Raiders have won a few Superbowls, their fans did not choose to burn down their city....flip over police cars,...all out riot.....

my mother has never shot, stabbed, or brutally beaten anybody(at least over a football game :D )

The thugs are not Raiders fans...they are thugs who sport the team colors.

there are fans of many if not all teams who are worthless garbage, convicts, gangsters, whatever...just as there are doctors, lawyers, day care workers and peace corp volunteers.

I have been to lots of games and I would much rather be at a game with Raiders fans than cowboy fans......but as much as I hate to say it.....even they are not all bad.

I told the story where the Raider fans took over the entire section behind the Goal post ar SDS, They started beating a Card fan on the top back corner and their was 2 sections between other Card fans -full of Raider fans in costume.

Sorry Oaken That is the whole damn section at every game- even your "good Raider fans"

The DPS with Smokey the Bear Hats could not get through and the Raider fans passed the bloody limp Cards fan hand over head to the isle, to DPS, They didn't do anything about it that i saw to busy moving to the next criminal!

My 90+ year old grandma( born 1908 in Pinetop-older than AZ ) was in town that game, andhad agreed to go to her first Cards game, I told her not this one Grandma, I don't know if I can protect you, they have more fans there- than the home team fans, and the cops can't help in time -if at all.

Long story short - Grandma passed before her first Cardinal Game. regardless of who's teams fan shot who, It is better now than it was then- Never Never Never give up the ground we gain.

I grew up where guns were legal, People did not dare act like some people in US city's -not that they would want too - or get some reward from it? we all had gun racks in our truck windows at school! In 1980! what the hell is wrong with people? total disregard for their fellow man.

If he shot in self defense with his wife there, I'm ok with it, I've seen NY, Chicago without the right to bear arms, I want nothing to do with them, They can deal with the highest crime rates in the world or move. Or follow the constitution -choice is theirs.

Yes there are nice raider fans out there. Yes 80% of the raider fans are not that way. If you cant see this, you are blind.

Well that's good to hear.

Because the fact is there were a lot of gangbangers in LA who wore Raiders gear. And they altered it to show if they were OC vs. LA vs. Inland Empire. Apparently they've now chosen to use Dodgers gear. Fine by me. Hate the Dodgers.

There are violent idiots in every single fan base. The Raiders, however, bring out an astonishing number of these people. I've been to 150-200 NFL games in person at this point, I've seen the Cardinals play every team in the league in person, more than once. The Raiders games bring out an ugly crowd. If you were to say to me "guess what, a shooting, stabbing, near fatal beating, just happened at an NFL game, pick the right game, and you get a hundred bucks." I'd pick the Raiders game every time.
This, i made the mistake of going to a Raiders Chargers regular season game several years ago in San Diego, my God what a bunch of thugs showed up in Raiders gear.

I disagree with your 80% assessment, and would submit that 80% of raiders fans do not actually go to the games.

but while we are exhibiting prejudice....what color do you think their skin is? Black, white, native, asian, latino?were they hetero, gay, or bi? do you think they were baby boomers?? gen-xers? or younger?

since you are soooooo good at determining who is who and who did what....please, take the time to show the full scope of prejudice

Just in general, most raider fans are thugs. Has nothing to do with prejudice. Get offended and try to call me racist all you want but the most thugs ive ever seen at cards games were

1)raiders
2)Rams
3)cowboys

It is what it is. I have a good friend at work who is a great guy, grew up in the bay area and loves the raiders. He himself today is telling me he is embarassed at the fans always because they are so unruly.

It is what it is. Lots of thuggy AZ fans too but they have nothing on the % of raider thugs.

My grandmother is a Raider fan. She has never been to a game and will never go.

Why? Because of the many Raider fans (or thugs who show up to Raider games wearing their gear) who show up to games and are out of control. There is no denying that.

I understand your perspective, and no one is suggesting that this particular incident or the overall stereotype/stigma associated with Raiders fans apply to every single one of you... and you might not think of the thugs as true Raider fans, but they are the majority of the people who showed up at the game last night (at least in my perspective being there last night), and that's what drives people's perceptions. To discuss the incident, and discuss that it happened with that particular fan base in the house, does not make any of us pathetic, IMO.

And, for the record, there were no issues in my section or the sections around me last night - and at no point did I feel unsafe being there.

Do you go to the games DD? I'm not suggesting that one incident is indicative of the entire fan base or should represent the entire fan base, and there were no incidents with any fans in my section or the ones around me -- but the Raider crowds that show up to our games do seem to be, in general, a different breed than I observe with other team's crowds.

desertdawg is a regular at my tailgates and a guy who never acts like a butthead to other fans. If everyone had his attitude, the games would be a lot more enjoyable to go to. Much love my brutha!

I've been to every Raiders game they've played in Arizona. Violence, beyond the typical game, happens every single time. I remember one game Skkorpion, the guy who started this internet community in the ninties on AOL, was threatend and intimated by a group of Raider fan low lifes and he said he would never again go to an Oakland game. If you don't know it, Skkorp was in a WHEELCHAIR. And, at one point they were going to run him down the stairs.

The Raider fans are the worst, followed by Steelers and Cowboys fan. And, the ones who wear the Halloween costumes to the game are the stupidest, gayest, ********* in all of pro sports. Quit acting like 11 year olds and grow the f' up Raiders fans.

I have been to lots of games and raiders games are just bad. There were several fights in front of us, and this is a freakin preseason game. I'll never go to another raider game.

Wendy and I sold our tickets only because it was a Raiders game. Regular season, no way do we sell. A game that doesn't matter that I know people will be looking to fight? Pass...

Oh, don't get me wrong, I wasn't trying to start anything with him personally or anything like that (I'm definitely never anything but respectful to other fans - and my guess is that almost every poster on this board probably is as well). I was just curious if he was actually there -- because as someone who was there last night and observed the crowd that showed up, I personally didn't think the thread/topic was as out of line as he suggested in his initial response.

my sister and nephew go to one game a season. They would go more but dont want to spend time with the rowdy's either....my nephew is only 26 and can name the raiders starters for the past twenty years, team records, all that....says the fools at the games cannot even tell you the starting defensive line...just the QB and the RB...maybe a WR or LB if they are star quality. The rowdy's are not a true representation of raiders fans, even the fans stay away because of them.

BTW, Oaken is right (again). I grew up in Fresno, Ca and my entire family are Raiders fans. None of them are thugs. You either were a Raiders fans or a 40whiner fan. Almost all my kid pictures are me in Raiders stuff.

It wasn't until the late 80s that Raider nation became the atrocity it is now. It used to be just the working class team.

just upset over the stereotype man. the majority of Raiders fans are good folks just like any other.....the thugs and bangers make it bad for everybody...
in this particular incident...the shooter himself called 911 and waited for police....does not sound like a typical thug in any case.

It was while they were in LA it went from a fun thing to a thug thing to be a RAiders fans

And, man, do their female fans dress like nasty skanks. I about puked at a couple of them dressed up in sliced up Reiders jerseys, pulled down tightly over ther big butt and rolls of belly fat. Wearing giant heels too.

Nasty, nasty, nasty. :barf:

I am a Cardinals fan man...grew up Raiders, but I bleed Cardinal RED!!

I do have an authentic Howey LOng jersey in the closet I wouldn't trade for anything......but if someone messed with my Tillman jersey......It might be me in these headlines.

my dream is to someday see a Raiders/Cardinals Superbowl...cant get too specific but it involves falatio, chronic, and an ice cold brew....and a last second TD catch by Fitz....
