DRC is actually a pretty good corner in the NFL def above average. So what he's not really physical he's a CB

Are we lacking tackling dummies?

DRC thinks press coverage is something he does in his scrap book, so no.

The only reason I would bring DRC back is to trade him to the Chiefs for there backup QB.

On that note,

We should trade Drew Stanton to the Titans for Michael Griffin.

I will never forget him jumping out of bounds to avoid Steven Jackson. Pussiest move I've ever seen this side of J.J. Arrington.

So, the people that don't want him, do you really think the team is better with Powers at CB than DRC?

He is wasted space, on or off the field. He couldn't care less and it shows. Thinks he's God's gift, but has no heart.

Aside from his athletic ability I do. People underestimate how having someone that soft will effect our awesome D. It would be a step back IMO.

Oh man. Not you too bro. :D I thought we wanted tackling to be one of our strong attributes.

For a corner, I want coverage ability to be the number 1 attribute and DRC can cover anybody. I love it when a CB can tackle, Antoine Winfield is one of my all time favorite CB's because he could do both, but if I had to pick one, give me the guy who can cover.

Not me, I need a guy that can do both.

It looks like the Cards are putting a premium on attitude and toughness and that will likely make them not even consider DRC.

Yea but Ive got too many instances of seeing DRC not cover anybody and for a guy that can supposedly cover anybody thats not a good thing. His last 2 years in AZ was pretty awful and he was getting torched often. Plenty of threads on it. He's lazy and he can cover anyone when he feels like it. Specifically the type of player I have zero desire to have on this team. Add into the fact that he is clearly a ****ty tackler and avoids contact? I'll pass.

Not to mention his "out of context" retirement talk. This kids head just isn't in it.

No, do not want him back. He is strictly a cover guy who unfortunately has mental lapses (and you see how we go off when PP has a few, DRC seems to have a ongoing vacation of the mind when playing). Consider that Peterson's presence makes the opposing QB throw a ton of balls in the direction of our #2 CB, expect some botched big plays given up by DRC. You cannot have your #2 corner freelancing when a majority of the passes are coming his way. And yes, he is not very physical and that would not seem to go over well with the way Bowles' defense is ran. When Honey Badger comes back, and I hope he comes back strong, we would have possibly then the league's best secondary tackler and the worst in DRC if we signed him. I think DRC could be a good #1 on a defense but not a #2 on this style of defense. So maybe you sign him to freelance at nickel, but you do not pay big bucks for that :)
