Going to the game tonight.

Im interested to see how valley fans will react to Shawn for the first time.

I'll probably be polite and just not cheer or jeer.

As long as Marion leaves it all on the court like he always has there is no reason to boo him.

If he starts to let his frustration become an issue during games, chucking up more shots to increase his stats or something like that then we might have to reevaluate but I don't see that happening.

Marion has always been a whiner but it doesn't seem like it has ever effected his play in a negative way. The whole business of him killing the Garnett trade is not an issue for me. If he doesn't want to play for the Celtics and has the power to stop a trade so be it. Why shouldn't he do what he feels is best for him, thats what the Suns are going to do.

There is NO REASON anyone should boo Marion.

He is still a Sun and still busts his but on the court.
He hasn't done anything he should be booed for.

There is every reason to boo Marion to the max.

He doesn't deserve to wear a Suns uniform and it is a shame he has the privilage of being on the team given that he doesn't want to be here.

The man is a little child who complains - although being the highest paid and taking the most shots - and wants a trade.

He refuses to play power forward and when addressed to play power forward he does it while be disgruntled.

He is seldom a 4th quarter performer. Cannot rely on his shot. Needs Nash so he can be an all-star. Had he been in any other NBA club, he would have been a 12pts/6reb guy off the bench.

Marion is the most overrated player in history and doesn't belong on the Suns.

So yes: BOOOOOOOOOOOO MARION!

I cannot wait til the day he is gone. I cannot wait!

Booing Marion would be the most ridiculous thing ever.

If he was traded and came back, then boo him, but right now, he's freaking here and having a good time.

I can just see the fans turn on him, booing him, and that kills his spirit.

No joke. While I've been angry at Shawn as well, booing is only going to bring the team down and alienate Shawn from the team. As long as he's wearing the purple and orange, we as Suns fans should so him our full support.

This is off topic, but why is it that baseball fans boo pitchers that throw to first base?

Back to the topic at hand, I don't see any point in booing ones own players except when it appears the guy is not playing hard. In that situation, maybe it will motivate the player to up his game.

Otherwise, I think it is counter productive. Often guys don't play well because they are push too hard and booing only makes it worse.

.

To try and stop them from doing it...and get in their heads...so that guy on first can get a bigger lead. :)

I don't see anyone booing their OWN pitcher for throwing to first...just the bad guys for doing it. :)

I want you to know that I doubt I'll ever put you on ignore, because I actually enjoy your ignorance. Its like watching a late night TV huckster who's selling a load of BS, I watch just because its such a train wreck- you're posts are the same way.

Now, I know people keep yelling at you because of your idiotic posts, but perhaps you're a visual learner, so I've made you this chart: (click for big)

Not only is Shawn Marion good, he's extremely consistent, with or without Steve Nash.

Marion always gives the Suns his best effort when in uniform. He has done nothing to shame the Suns on the court. The idea of booing Marion for expressing his opinion off the court is ludicrous.

Now booing Jason Kidd after he was traded was a different matter because he flipped the fans an obscene jesture on his way out of the arena (I believe after his first return trip to Phoenix).

Hell no, his uni still says Phoenix across the front. But more importantly, "It's a slam dunk! At the room store!"

I don't get the chart. Not only does Shawn Marion stink, but he stinks big time. I know every single one of you cringed and shouted at the TV screen every single playoff when Marion chugged up an ugly three. We all know u wanted Marion out after the playoffs because he messes things up for the team. He is an undersized "I like to get tossed around by Lamar" power forward who cannot play small forward either since he cannot shoot the ball. I'd trade him for Jerome James and a stack of blueberry pancakes anyday.

I'm the most consistent member of the trade-Marion bandwagon. But there is no reason to boo him on the court. He is doing what he can on the court very well. It's the Suns management that deserves booing for not having a deal done to trade him away.

I never believed it before, but people on TV ARE REAL people. How's Dunder Mifflin treating you Dwight?

LOL!
