Horray for 3 in the top 5!

I think Hill should definitely be in top 3 if not tied with Nash.

If Diaw were to return to his 05-06 form he would swap categories.

Larry Hughes' contract is totally worse than Kenyon's.

What a waste of space banks is...

17. Shaquille O'Neal: 3 years, $60m
With this contract O'neal helped Miami winning a title. Even if he doesn't deserve a $20m a year contract anymore I would not have him on the worst contract list.

Anyone find it funny that the suns are responsible for 4 of the top 25 worst contracts in the league.

Of course they have 3 of the best to help balance.

He is talking about this year, not accouting past accomplishments. He does one every year.
he even prefaces that in the article by showing how shocked he is since shaw has been at the top 25 for nearly a decade

Does anyone else find it amazing that there are 18 worse contracts than Banks in the league? That is pretty mind boggling.

The Banks contract rubs me wrong the most. He has not produced much of anything for the money he is paid.

Tom Gugliotta was a pretty bad contract too, although I guess had had 1-2 good years here before all of the injuries & life-threatening seizure.

Troy Murphy. Ugh. Fellow Irishman and NBA loser supreme.

Wish I was 6'10", slow, selfish, pouty, lazy defensively and had a gazillion dollar contract! He is the biggest winner on both lists. Brings nothing to the table and hauls away gads and gads.

Why do people get angry at the players who get paid and really don't spout off about the people who are giving away these astronomical salaries. Banks, Diaw, Murphy, it seems everyone begrudges the player for not performing up to these salary expectations but some schlepp obviously gave them these ridiculous contracts.

I honestly don't see how diaw isn't number 1 on that list.

It is the longest remaining contract, 5 years. And it is at a big number, 9 million a year for not doing a damn thing.

Well a lot of teams are being forced to give these kind of contracts by player & agent demands or they risk losing the player for nothing. If they offer a lower & more reasonable contract offer then they risk pissing off the player to the point of him not wanting to play there anymore at all (see Joe Johnson). Then you have the players that have 1 good year or half-year and then expect large contracts and owners give it to them because they think they'll continue to improve and then they don't improve or even worse they regress (see Boris Diaw).

No. You are getting noting from Kenyon Martin. Diaw contributes every 5th game or so.

Combine that with the fact that at the time we had no idea if Amare was going to recover from microfracture and Diaw actually worked hard scoring on the inside, something we would of been completely lacking in if Diaw left and Amare never came back.

We were in a difficult situation so we signed Diaw on potential and for insurance.

I actually think even if Amare wouldn't have come back Diaw would have still regressed. He is just lazy and doesn't care anymore, he was playing purely for a contract.

I dunno if you mean literally nothing because Kenyon has been playing this year.

Not at all even slightly worth his albatross contract, but he is playing.

Sucks for denver bigtime though because I would rather have diaw and that is really really saying something.

The sad thing is though if kenyon was making 9 million instead of 14 I would EASILY rather have him then diaw.
