Kyler Murray is an elite football player. Even the best players make mistakes. He's arguably the best pure football player on the field on any given day. His throws from different angles, falling backward, sideways, on the run, are exceptional. There's only like 1 or 2 guys who can make those throws, and it's considered a great play, but he makes them all game long. Routinely.

Look, every qb throws picks. His first pick was a great play by the LB who may have been there because the under man didn't draw him away from the lane. We don't know.

His second pick is on him.

He's lead this team to 38 and then 36 points. Can we really complain that much. A mistake made today will not cost us a win next week.

I really think Kliff is so insecure about being a meme McVay/Shanahan that he refuses to run pre-snap motion more. Ran it for a good bit in 2019 & only runs in 1st halves now it seems like. Mind-boggling.
I don't think Kyler likes it. Only reason I can figure for why he did run it and then mostly stopped. I also question Kyler's ability to read defenses because he had no idea how to attack what he was seeing in the second half of this game.

Yeah I don't know why he let up on that one and got caught from behind that was a weird play

The one K9 is talking about he should have just slid down inbounds for a 3 yard gain so they have to use a Timeout.

When I was watching it I thought...Is he slowing up to force the defense to hit him as he goes out of bounds and draw a 15 yarder?? "Pulling a Chris Paul" and baiting them into a foul?? That is a very dangerous game to play for a small QB.

The 2nd one is just a bull crap play on a bull crap drive. You get the ball back up 1, and use a total of 16 seconds of the clock before punting. Didnt even use the 2 min warning. KK and KM did everything they could to ruin a pretty great offensive game with that horrible "drive". The next time KK manages a game well will be his first.

Nah that throw to Kirk on the allout blitz to put us in FG range that was huevos as big as Nicki Minaj's cousin.
Actually probably his easiest throw. Man coverage, throw it high and deep and let your WR run under it. DEfined and plays to his strength. He struggles when he has to throw in windows vs zone drops.

He was clearly hit in the head on the 2nd pick. There should have been a flag thrown. Otherwise, he claims it would have been a td to Kirk.

Still a poor read on his part. I love Kyler but that's just not the play. I don't really blame him on the 1st pick, tbh, but that one is just a dumb play. Up until that point I had been impressed by his patience.

But that’s the play he was drafted to make. Brady, Wilson, Mahomes, Favre, Elway.... all those guys make that play. Murray would have made it too if not for that short grab to his face. Over the middle tight window throws are required in the red zone if you want to be a winning football team. Sometimes they get picked.

Your second paragraph is spot on. Our mind set should have been " we need a fg" to ice the game. First play should have been a straight forward power run. Clock keeps running or Vikes use a time out. Second down a safe short completed pass, clock keeps running or Vikes use their 2nd time out.
These are the types of situations that drive us nuts.

That being said we have scored 38 and 36 points which is going to win most games.

He was on video, but he never highlighted the call for the ref which EVERY QB DOES whenever theres the tiniest bit of contact.

I need a better angle on the 2nd pick I think the contact impacted the throw but was there another WR there or just the guy we saw on camera? Because it's just the guy we saw on camera just a terrible decision to throw it there.
Yeah I don’t think it impacted the throw. I think it was essentially outta his hand by the time the face mask moved him.

I actually liked the call to have Kyler run it because he can probably waste more time than an inside run can. The problem is Kyler has to slide down inbounds.

Nah. It definitely should’ve been a penalty, but if it impacted the throw it was negligibly at best. He had essentially released it prior and that db was closing easily on it.

Mahomes threw a terrible pick while being tackled trying to make a play tonight, that’s what these guys do, it’s why they are special! If our D shows up even a little bit today we win this game easily! I doubt KC boards bitching about the few knucklehead plays Mahomes makes routinely, because also makes spectacular plays routinely. I would much rather he throws picks being aggressive DOWNFIELD instead of check downs all day. We have big play guys let them play sure their are gonna be mistakes made, also the guys in the opposing teams are paid professionals too can’t beat them all the time!

That was a dumb play. But around 85% of his other ones were really good with a few unworldly ones mixed in.

more concerned about the other 2 of our last 3 first round picks to be honest.

The Rondale TD and Kirk 4th down throw could’ve been completed by like less than five other human beings in the world.

And Kyler is the problem for making a handful of dumb plays a game. You guys remember how many head-scratching INT’s Warner used to throw right?

Kyler solves 100% of any teams issues while contributing to 15% of it. I say that is a playoff QB at worst.

You watched it from your home. K1 was the guy that got hit. He claims it affected the throw & there’s no reason to not believe him. Does it really matter? QB’s get hit all the time while they’re in the throwing motion. The flag should have been thrown, but it wasn’t. Looked blatant, but whatever.

Yeah. I noticed that Simmons was pretty invisible during the game, but I really don't have any idea why. I think that Zaven Collins was probably oversold and it's 70% Vance being Vance and another 30% that Collins isn't ready to run the D yet.

The other side of that is Kyler has to make ungodly plays because he misses the layup play as designed. On the Kirk throw Chase Edmonds is RIGHT THERE and completely uncovered. Kyler misses these designed completions every game, makes magic happen, and a lot of people are like, "ZOMG! Kyler bailed out Kliff AGAIN!"
