I believe Skattebo will be a good back, and will be in the league for a sufficient time- but to draft him, when Benson was just drafted and far from a bust but actually having good potential, would be negligent of this franchise. I get people in Arizona would love to draft a player that represented their state with one heck of a college showing, but it would make absolutely no sense with other pressing needs along the defense. One needs to ask themselves this. Do you want to go to a game to enjoy seeing Skattebo end up like fans rooting for Larry Centers for some individual moral victory, or do you want to win? Sell tickets because you are winning
Benson is a stiff.. book it. if Skat is there in rd 3 take him and trade Benson for whatever

Every game he'll have one or two plays that will fire up a team even more.

I would love to have him in the third.

If the Cardinals could trade down and get another 4th round pick, that sounds about right.

I was originally hoping the Cardinals could get him late in the draft or free agency, but that Skat is out of the bag. :)

I am not sure on this to be honest. He really stank in the Rams game and that just stuck with him in my eyes for awhile. He played decent in November / December.

If Conner is healthy, the back up running back is getting like 5 carries a game. Is that worth two Day 2 picks?

scattebo would lessen the need for double and triple tight end sets - we'd use the wr3 even less - we could split backs out of the backfield - if petzing wants to run the ball more and more successfully conner - benson - scattebo (and a legit bully guard) opens a lot of possibilities

It's all part of the Card's SB prophecy if it exists. It would almost always include Skat. Tough to picture a dream of it all without him. It's as if it's the Cards style of play with Conner.

He can be a Larry Centers type of back, and who wouldn't want that on their team?

petzing runs the ball which is a good thing - haven't looked it up but sure seemed like we struggled most running up the middle

skat and a mean ass browbeating guard would help

one thing we saw ad nauseum last year was petzing running conner 3 or 4 or sometimes even 5 times in a row - drove me crazy because conner was always exhausted - skat gives petzing another true bruising alternative but with more explosive upside once skat gets past the los

Those teams sucked but I understand your thoughts.

To have that type of talent with a supporting cast would make for interesting viewing.
Automatic 7 yard completion on 3rd and 12.

3rd round feels rich to me for Cam

There are enough really highly rated RBs in this draft --Jeanty, Hampton, the Ohio St two, etc. --

that the next tier might be pushed down in the draft

5th round?
Yup.

Everybody her knows that if Skat played for another school that wasn’t in the state of Arizona, nobody would be reaching for him. Hell, would people still want him as high as the 3rd round if he played for the Arizona Wildcats?
