He's been throwing to a invisible receiver all night. Did he get concussed?

He doesn't need cut--he's a solid backup--but he cannot be our starter. No way.

What part of this performance leads you to believe he is a back up? What has he done that if he had to come in you would have faith in him?

Yeah, go ahead and name me 64 QBs better than Skelton in the NFL right now. Didn't think so. He has value, just not as a starter.

He's DA with a good personality. Unfortunately, a good personality doesn't offset throwing 10 yards above and away from intended receivers.

I'm content if he's released at the end of the season. Skelton has undoubtedly regressed (and he wasn't that good to begin with)

I used to believe this, but I'm not sure. When you consider your backup QB needs to come in and be able to complete a high percentage of short to intermediate throws with very little practice, I don't believe Skelton is that guy. I liked his tools, big arm & big frame, when we drafted him, but his inability to put the ball on open wide receivers is killer for a QB off the bench.

If I am the Cardinals, I scrap our entire QB grouping.

I am so ****ing tired of Skelton a want to jump off the roof into the stadium and slap the hell out of anyone who ever thought this guy was worthy of being a starter. He sucks so bad. He has done nothing. I honestly don't know how in the holy hell he won the starting job.

This is beyond pathetic. I am just so sick right now over how terrible this guy is.

I'm sure Skelton is a nice guy who loves animals and donates to charity, but for the love of God, he is not an NFL starting caliber QB. Either is Kolb for that matter.

I guess 7 yards rushing for the Cardinals is not part of the problem not to mention the poor pass protection?

Skelton may not be the answer but if the offensive line and their coaching were fixed, there would be a chance to compete on offense.

Those are definitely problems.. But Skelton, when he gets time, throws the most inaccurate passes I have ever seen.. I think I saw two passes that we're on the money.. The rest were high or to a part of the field where no one was around.. At least he fixed throwing into the dirt..

Until next week. I really wish I could see what the f was going on in practice to make whiz believe this guy deserved to be the starter.

Really? Skelton struggles vs. 7 on 7 in practice. Call a spade a spade.

The problem isnt JUST the QB, the problem isnt JUST the OL, the problem isnt JUST the injuries
The problem is this is the team that Whiz built, and not the team he inherited

I'm over Skelton, but I dont think any QB on our roster is a much more appealing option. We saw Kolb play an identical game against St Louis 3 weeks ago. The QBs, the line and Russ Grimm all need to be blown up this offseason and overhauled.

I know, its sad to force Larry in his prime to sit through a rebuilding offense and some rookie QB, but the quick fixes dont work and even a rookie QB could probably average 9 points per game like our starters have the last 4 weeks.

We have a third stringer who beat out a backup for our starting QB job is what our problem IS, well that and the Oline and tackling, but on the bright side I saw it getting frosty in hell or was that a good screen pass to the hyphen?

Of course there are other problems but look we were 4-2 and in every game the first 6 games. Skelton started one of those, played poorly, got hurt and Kolb led the winning drive, then started the last 5 games.

Skelton has started the last 2 games and we haven't been in either game. He's getting lots of nice stat padding late in the games but he hasn't been able to do anything during the actual game.

NOt his fault we can't run or pass block, totally agree, but he's not a starting NFL QB.

Here is the reality of this situation. Until someone who has more authority in the organization stands up to Whiz and tell him Grimm is done here in Arizona as well as Miller and furthermore we are going to hire an experienced offensive coordinator who will install his offensive system because it is quite apparent that what you want to run does not work.

Until this happens nothing will change and this offense will flounder in mud until Whiz is gone. If we know nothing else Whiz is a control freak who has an abnormal need to have his hands in the offense and The only reason the Whiz system worked when Warner was here is because he and Haley took Whiz's system and manipulated it to work.

John Skelton is not the answer at QB.

He has regressed, and yes, he looked like Scud last like.

Double Dud.

Sucks.

What's really amazing is that Double Deuce has completed almost 65% of his passes over the last two games. He makes some really good throws but when he misses....they're just awful.

Scud was under 55% in 10 of 12 games. :bang:
