I'm with you. Housler has had several good games in a row until this one. He's no Gronk or Graham at this point but he isn't the worthless piece of crap some believe he is.
That pass to him in the endzone was deflected at the los.
As we have all witnessed everyone on the O has been slower than expected on picking up BA's Offense. Housler coming form a tiny college may take a little longer for this O to become second nature.
I still want us to draft another TE by rd 4 this upcoming draft.
Housler's been inactive the last two games, and before that he had all of seven receptions for 63 yards and zero impact in the prior two games.
At this point, Housler is a less dependable option than Jim Dray or any of the other top 4 receivers.
Is he a total waste of a roster spot? No, he hasn't entered the Ryan Williams Zone. But he is a waste of time and attention as a promising player at this point. If he does something over the next year of his career before entering free agency, it can only be seen as a bonus.
Nothing will change the idea that he's a massive disappointment.
