Excellent fun! I think this show will be a blast. It has a pretty cool premise, even though I wish
we actually got to keep Clancy Brown. I mean, the whole 'we'll kill the bigger actor off' thing is cool, but I really like Brown. Ah well :D

I liked it quite a bit despite one little thing that bothered me.

I could do without the tie-in to The Book of Revelations.

My favorite American legend is Sleepy Hollow. I didn't get to watch the premier last night, but I DVR'd it. At first I wasn't excited for the premise, but now after I've read more about it, I do think it could be fun.

I enjoyed it - my main reservation is they moved at warp speed, and I've gotten used to series that take a little time to develop and reveal the premise and characters/relationships. Other than the Book of Revelation, looks like there won't be much revelation here -- it's all pretty much out there already.

the movie was so so, I guess this could be cool.

Nothing like the movie, or the Disney cartoon, or the original source material at all. Total re-imagining of the mythology, and a pretty creative one at that (for one episode at least).

This is a different take on the legend and does tie it to religious overtones. I also kind of felt like that was completely unnecessary given that there is obviously "witchcraft" or dark magic involved. I agree though the show seems like it will be some fun.

I loved it, although it most definitely looks to become the "new" Supernatural.

And I'm perfectly ok with that.

Me too.

My only problem with the show is that my wife feels that it may be "a little too scary", which will kill my changes of keeping up with it.

I like that it has some good horror to it. It may be a little too scary for my...oh wait, I'm single ;)

Hate to say it -- I'll give it another couple weeks -- but it's feeling stale and w/o any creativity or depth to me already.

After which episode? The pilot was terrific--the 2nd ep not as good, but still better than a lot out there. Again, as a huge fan of Supernatural, I loved the parallels to that show.

After Episode 2. The drop-off in quality was substantial, I thought. I like the lead guy, so I'll give it a few weeks.

Second episode was a little bit of a drop off, but the previews for episode 3 are insane looking! I am still in!

My wife and just watched the first two episodes. We've both gotten chills in both episodes and have been thoroughly entertained.

In regards to the second episode being stale or a drop off. The pilot was a 10 for us, so while we would "only" give the second episode an 8.5, that's only a slight drop off considering how much we loved the pilot.

Didn't like Episode 3 as much as I would have hoped, but the central narrative is so entertaining that I will keep watching.

One would think that after a few hundred years a man might want to change clothes.

I am enjoying it more than I thought I might after the weak 2nd episode. I liked the last one a lot. And I like Ichabod (not wild about anyone else) although if they DO change his clothes, he might be a lot less cool.

Gave up on it after halfway through the third episode. Didn't think the writing was that good and didn't like the acting of the female detective. Just couldn't get in to the story. Hope you all enjoy it.

Why they're skipping two weeks--including Hallo-frickin'-ween--is beyond me. I mean, how stupid are TV execs anyway? I've seen plenty of stupid TV decisions, but this one takes the cake.
