Well, that is a cumulative 17 years of NBA experience that we had on them (2.125 * 8), which really is quite a bit.

This is correct.

yep, that makes sense. 'Dat kid who Kobe don't know has been around the NBA only 4 yrs, diaw - only 2.
but still my orig conclusion was incorrect. (Dare I dispute the youth of the Fakers, esp. since D Dogg has had his say). Pity a Suns fan had to find the mistake. Aren't the Laker lurkers here not even good enough to do that.
Can't blame you guys ..you got bigger fish to fry.

We fried our fish...that was an allusion Kobe made to getting into the playoffs. And we made a little noise there too.

Not bad for a team the majority of prognosticators said wouldn't even make the playoffs this year.

Same can be said about the Suns.

But not as true, as most of the prognosticators said you'd make the playoffs, some said barely and a few even put you right where you'd end up. There were I think 2 ESPN guys picked the Lakers to be in the playoffs, and as the 8th seed.

Knowing Amare wasn't going to be there.

Not to take away from the great job that D'Antoni did, when he earned an un-awarded Coach of the Year trophy that Avery stole.

I love Kwame...he's one of my favorite players on the team, working his tail off every day in practice, staying late, etc. He locks down bigs in the post.

still love Kwame?
Serious question.

The playoffs are often a bit unfair in evaluating supporting type players. Smush Parker had a much better year than anyone had reason to expect, but he plays against the league MVP and is made to look very bad. The same is true for K Brown, a one dimensional defender and rebounder, who was matched against a totally players he was totally ill suited to defend.

On the Suns side, Shawn was matched against the very big and athletic Odom. In the early part of the series, the Suns offense had not adjusted to Odom being on Marion. They adjusted and all of a sudden Marion started "playing better".

BTW, I do think Boris and Leandro did grow during the series in terms of their ability to handle pressure. In the end, I think their international experience really did help.

Absolutely. Handled Duncan, KG and other bigs like they were nobodies.

Kwame is a work in progress, but he's doing quite well.
