im sure i dont need to elaborate much-title says it all. we havent played well here at the end of the season, and we are likely to lose tonight to the team that SA blew out by 37 and tomorrow to another mediocre team who we may meet in the 1st round. no way can we win a title this way, we just arent showing up to games that we should win easily. its getting old- but i think we have to say it again: "Oh well, there's always next year".

Why make a thread on this? You've got to be kidding me.

K yea we have had a lot of bad games in the last couple of weeks. To be honest, I'm disgusted. However, I'm not willing to bet just from a couple of stupid MEANINGLESS regular season games that we have absolutely no shot at the title and should just hope for next year. That's just stupid. I'm not excusing the way this team has played as of late, but I'm not about to jump off a cliff and say stupid things like "so much for a championship" when the playoffs have yet to start.

Damn you're right. This was a playoff elimination game and the Suns blew it. No title this year. Pity.

how are these games meaningless? SA is breathing right down our neck and we have (especially considering our pathetic play of late) an unbearable schedule coming up - but yeah, these games a meaningless.

Tonite's game is UGLY. I still think they'll win the championship this year though.

i cant imagine this being true, considering we cant even beat weak teams even after a win that should have motivated us (win against dallas). we lost to denver, whom we may face in the 1st round, detroit, who would be our likely opponent in the finals, sacramento, a potential 8th seed, golden state, a team that would be lucky to take the 8th seed, and probably again tomorrow against denver who we may face in the first round. Now after all this, we have to go in and face dallas on sunday who hasnt lost a game since their loss to us. fat chance of a win there, or any time in the playoffs

someone said they wanted the spurs to take over the 2nd seed: oh ok, so instead of san antonio you would rather face dallas? brilliant-just brilliant.

Your posts are getting old, predictable, and boring.

we're very lucky you are being sarcastic. who/what is to say our intensity is uplifted when we enter the post season? who says then we will rebound? who says then we will contest shots? who says then that steve nash will actually play defense rather then be a liability? who says then that wins over dallas will motivate us to come back and win more? NOBODY!

As the three seed the Suns would still play San Antonio in the second round. They just wouldn't have home court advantage.

Your knowledge of the playoffs is brilliant-just brilliant.

Suns seemed to have gotten relaxed after winning the Pacific title.. Anyone else notice it? Maybe they are just looking forward to the playoffs too much..

Who is this "we"? Do you play for the team? If you do you better get your ass in gear, you guys are struggling.

If you are not part of the team then just see what happens. We have seen this team flip the switch when the spotlight is on against the top teams, I'm pretty sure that come playoff time there won't be a lack of motivation anywhere.

In the three major sports (MLB, NBA, NFL) the three teams that won the championship last year (Cardinals, Heat, Colts) all played rather poorly down the stretch. Obviously I'd rather the Suns were winning these games, but this team was playing very poorly and still managed to beat Dallas in Dallas. I'm not going to write them off until they lose their last game.

you mean until they lose the last game of the season? i assume you mean the post season, in which case i can see that last game coming a lot sooner than we planned at the start of the season

All of a sudden the Suns are looking pretty ordinary. They dont look like championship material to me.

the Heat actuallly played very well down the stretch last year - it was the rest of the season that they slept walked. they went 23-5 until they rested Shaq and Wade for the last three games of the season when they didn't play and went 0-3.

and in order to be like those teams. the suns must start playing defense and rebounding the basketball.

let us all remember that the colts picked up their defense (run D in particular) at the end of the season and in the post season, something we could do well with as well

Yea great point comparing football to basketball. While we're on the subject let's move Marion to tailback and Amare to fullback, just so Nash has more protection in the backfield.

Most idiotic thread (and posts to go with it) ever posted.

i wouldnt say that was GS, id say that was 99% don nelson

What I find funny is people are saying the Suns will lose in the first round because they lose to a team like Golden State or barely beat New Orleans. Well, the teams the Suns would play in the first round have also lost to bad teams, so I don't get it? Dallas also lost to Golden State, really badly too. Did that mean they don't have a chance to win the title?

What it comes down to is who plays well in the playoffs. Not much matters up to that point except for seeding and health, and even then, I'm sure the Suns feel like they can beat the rest of the West on the road.
