Allen inconsistent, as expected. Can't be 1st round material when you aren't accurate.

The scoop: "He's been hit or miss, but I still love the talent. There just aren't many guys who play in the league who are his size and throw it like he does. They just go early." -- NFC executive on Wyoming QB Josh Allen

The skinny: At 6-foot-4 7/8 and 237 pounds with 10 1/8-inch hands, Allen hits all the physical benchmarks teams look for in an early first-round quarterback. However, Allen also failed to hit the 60-percent completion mark in both of his seasons as the Senior Bowl. Rarely do you hear an NFL evaluator or coach say that arm strength is more important than accuracy, and yet it is starting to feel like there will be an NFL team willing to push their chips in on Allen's outstanding arm talent while overlooking his accuracy flaws.

You could work for Steve Keim or Rod Graves

It's silliness like this that got you him picked in the 1st round....sounds like you are ready to do it again.

I'll take Ruben Foster all day every day at the pick we had. He PRODUCED in college and he produced in the pro's.

It's attitudes like that that kill me. You have seen these guys get drafted due to senior bowl or combine....and they never pull their weight in the pros.

Do you pick a guy for what they did on their team for 4 years? OR
Pick a guy for what he did for 1 week of practice....one meaningless game....that is a 'me' fest and some routes and weight lifting?

I wouldn't even send guys to the senior bowl or combine other than to conduct interviews.

He could be all pro but it wouldn't do any good if he's suspended or injured. He will more than likely be sitting the first 3 games next year due to suspension. Dwash pt 2.

The Penn St TE, Mike Gesicki, was absolutely abusing guys with his route running, especially in the red zone.

Also, Baker was making perfect throw, after perfect throw today.

I wasnt able to watch the entire practice, but mainly the 7on7, TE/RB vs S/LB, and some 11 on 11.

You do realize that I hate that we took Haason Reddick in the first round right? That in that post you are referencing I state that he is viewed as an underachiever because we overdrafted Reddick vs what he showed in college and how it would not translate to the NFL. I'm not sure you really read that post.

It's become commonplace that Gesicki abuses people. The guy is a beast with a ridiculously large catch radius. He's a complete package that can block and catch. Not sure what round he'll go in, but I'm hoping he is wearing a Cardinal uniform next season.

That's just it, it not a matter of this or that. It is a matter of this and that. I'll say it again, just because you don't understand it doesn't mean that it has no value.

To add fuel to the fire. What a guy "gets by on" in college may not get it done in NFL. Plenty of examples. Watching a big huge Tackle from Humboldt State who is at the Senior Bowl practice. The guy is huge and athletic and basically rag dolled opponents in college. Fairly certain he will not rag doll opponents in the NFL. So now the scouts need to see what he might be able to do. That analysis will legitimately put a value on him.

Senior bowl 2017
There was this no name Hassan Reddick who did outstanding.
Cardinals drafted him
Got nothing in return

Learn the Senior Bowl and combine mean NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Every draft fools get ‘moved up’ due to combine and senior bowl...come nfl game day ...they suck

If the player could t do it on Saturdays at a high level they sure as hell won’t be able to do it on Sunday’s.

IMO, Holcomb will make Reddick the winner he should be.

Four year starter at North Carolina A & T Brandon Parker has never given up a sack.

Mayfield anticipates his throws. The question for him is whether or not he'll be able to do that against pro defenses. Would have been nice to pair him with John DeFilippo.

Allen throws frozen ropes. He can fit the ball in a tight window. Unfortunately, it is the window in the house next door.

Whose fault was it that the Cardinals did not get the Haason Reddick that shone at the Senior Bowl? His or the Cardinals coaching staff.

Same goes for Lamar Jackson. I feel the people who are so in love with him haven’t looked at his stats. 57% career completion rate. OOF!
Jacksons comp% increased every year which shows he is coachable and improving. Then when you look at the offense he has been in...well they throw a lot of long balls...long balls lower the overall comp%
I aint claiming LJ is a top 10 pick... but there is more to the kid than the numbers show

Being a Louisville fan i can tell you Jackson did not throw a lot of dink and dunk high percentage short passes.Louisville liked the vertical game.Go downfield.Another factor with jackson is that he has played behind a very underperforming OLINE.In 2017 UL started a REDshirt freshman at Center,Freshman at OG and both tackles had poor seasons. The irony is that both OTackles are going PRO.One is 7th rd of FA type and the other Geron Christian(started since day ONe) is projected as a 5-7 rounder.Add a poor offensive line and a 12% drop rate by his receivers and you can see somewhat how his completion rate was what it was.His completion rate increased every year he was at Louisville. He is far from a finished product but he has excellent character, fine work ethic abd has a great arm.He is a work in progress just like every other QB in the draft.

I knew his talent around him was bad, but when I saw the tweet with the drop rates and his at 12% he instantly shot up my draft board. If he’s there at 15, he’s my pick as of now.

Yes and lauletta or white in the third
I want us to draft 2 qb this year
I don’t know man, we still have a lot of holes to fill. OL, CB2, DE, even a deep range safety/FS. I wouldn’t mind if we draft 2, but the 2nd one gotta be in the 7th.

Shoot, I think we should draft 2 WRs this year, tbh.

We have 2 third round picks
Getting a couple of qb's ib rhe early rounds drastically increase ourc hance to find the qb of the future
then the second one could a higher value later

yeah... my dream draft this season

1 QB

2 Simmie Cobbs(WR Indiana)

3 Auden Tate(WR Florida)

4 Frank Ragnow(or best available OL)

QB, Two WR's, interior oLine help.... we can get impact at all four spots this year.... fill out the rest of the draft with a project DT and a couple DB's

Ballage was the name of the RB who stood out to me. He'd look nice paired up with DJ.
