Despite reports to the contrary I don't expect the Cards to take a QB.
The most important 2 days of the combine are the 28th & 29th.
The Cards must get a return man in the next draft.
I think Larry Fitzgerald will play 3 more effective years.
Chris Johndon won't be back with the Cards.
I wouldn't be surprised to see someone like Cutler come after Palmer.
Lyle Sendlein is the most likely starting center next season unless the Cards draft one, which I doubt.
Getting an impact defensive end is just as important as an impact OLB.
Let the jousting begin!

We shall see but good to hear your comments Harry.

1) as far as drafting a QB I think it depends on who's available. If Prescott is there in Rd 3 I wouldn't be surprised to see BASK draft him.

2) if I'm the Cards Seindlein needs to be replaced with Alex Mack once he's free.

3) other than that I'm drafting defense defense defense!

Completely agree with DE being just as important as OLB . I hope you are wrong about us not drafting a C this looks to be a very good C draft so it would be a good time to upgrade that position IMO. I would love a DE OLB C not particularly in any order with our first 3 picks.

I doubt they'll draft a QB. I'd be more surprised if they don't keep the current line-up. Stanton is eager to resign and they're eager to have him. I wouldn't mind if that wasn't so, but it will be. If there's any replacement brought in, it'll be at the #3 spot.

Johnson will return, on a two year deal that will end up being a one year reality. He's interested in coming back and he says the Cards are interested, too.

They may draft someone who can also act as a return man but I believe they (mistakenly) believe they already have that covered.

I want Fitzgerald back and I'd take your three year timeline. I hope we find a new starting center but BA and SK take comfort in the familiar.

Mack is an excellent center but I don't the Cards can put another big contract on the O-line.

Harry, I think Stanton will be back, but I also think that Keim will draft a QB this year because it appears that BA is not that high on Matt Barkley. Plus, Barkley is in the final year of his rookie contract, so they would rather have a young QB in the mix for 4 years.

What return men do you like in this draft? Do any stand out to you?

I agree on Fitz (3 more years) and I agree on BA turning to another veteran when CP retires. I hope it's not Cutler, however. I cannot stand that guy. What about Matthew Stafford?

Why do you say that Chris Johnson won't be back? Keim said he is meeting with CJ's agents in Indy to get a deal done.

I think they know they must sign or draft a new starting center this year. Sendlein had a solid year (coming in late helped him actually), but he's at that age where it is impossible for him to hold up physically through 16+ games.

Adding an interior rusher who can slip off blocks and take down the likes of Newton and Wilson is paramount, imo. Your note on this is right on the money.

Last night on the NFL network combine show-- Daniel Jeremiah was raving about Alabama center Ryan Kelley. Compared him to Ryan Kahlil and said Kelley is a better prospect-- amd a guy who should go in the late first, early 2 area

Just sayin

fk---If other needs are taken care of in FA---Kelly as the first pick (maybe after trading down a little), would feel right. Nick Saban and the Bama players all rave about Kelly,a 3 year starter and consummate leader in the pivot.

If he's the best player at a position of need, why wait?

Dallas didn't a few years back...

Hope you are right

Front 7 players ?

The Cards must get a return man in the next draft.

It may be the biggest hole on the team. Has CJ2K ever returned punts or Kick Offs? I would think he would be great at both and it would put another RB on the roster who plays ST's.

I think Larry Fitzgerald will play 3 more effective years.

I agree with the caveat that if we win the SB in the next year or two he might hang up at that time.

Chris Johndon won't be back with the Cards.

Disagree, see my above comments as to why. :)

I wouldn't be surprised to see someone like Cutler come after Palmer.

He has the talent but either he is an idiot or has Jeff George syndrome. Can BA fix that?

Lyle Sendlein is the most likely starting center next season unless the Cards draft one, which I doubt.

I like Sendlein and think he gets bashed too much on this site but even I'm at the point that I would like to upgrade the position. Would love to have him as a backup.

With the depth and talent in this draft I expect BASK to draft at least on Dlineman this year as well as an OLBer.

i think larry will stay even if we win because he could win again. He has 2-3 good years left in him if his play can keep matching his pay.

A solid young C to anchor the line would be huge. I would use a first on him if we have other needs met in FA

Well I would draft a young center to anchor our line too, but only if he is IMO the best player available. You can't just say I am taking a center with the
29th pick. Needs are met in free agency and that way you can draft the BPA and I don't care what position they play.

Alex Mack wants to play for a winner. The Cards don't have a huge window, pay him and take BPA at 29.

IMO it all depends on how much he wants 10 million plus a year is the last I saw, I'd pass at that amount. I'm not ready to completely mortgage our future for a window, there are just to many unknowns with a football season.

My top 2 FA targets would be Bruce Irvin & Trumaine Johnson but if we miss out on either I would be on board with Mack. C is a more difficult spot to fill than a G or RT.

They wanted to move on from Sendlein last season and where not able to do so, and I think Sendlein will not be so lucky this year because they are going to take more measures to insure center gets upgraded... and CJ is coming back because he is a dependable vet back, the perfect compliment to DJ and will not want a ton of money but seemingly likes the team meaning he will not play for free but he will not break the bank either :)
