And while the Cardinals are not as good as we thought they were at the time, AJ cost us the Green Bay game. I agree that he had his moments this season and played better with Hopkins on the field.

Wow. Just wow. If we weren't so shallow at the position right now, I'd cut him before the playoffs.
He destroyed the Rams the 1st two games. Its the only thing giving me hope. Any other team and I might be out on him.

Kick the Rams butt and hopefully that gives him momentum.

LOL, just can't help going back to the well. Green was a turd when it mattered, so he fits right in.

Instead of defaulting back to a guy that we already KNOW we can't rely on, why not try something, anything different?

If it's for more than a million or two a year...le sigh

Glad we're getting younger and faster at the WR position! Heck, I bet Keim now thinks both WR and OL are set and he hasn't painted himself into a corner in the draft. Sorry, that deserves another :bang:

Im more comfortable with aj green then Antoine Wesley as receiver number 2
While that may be true, AJ Green as your #2 is one of the worst in football. He made numerous critical mistakes, and was never on the same page as Murray.

Keim better be knocking it out of the park with the draft, because it appears more and more likely that we'll have major holes to fill.

Is there any plan to actually try and compete for a championship? Around the middle of last year, it seemed like a real possibility. Now, it seems like the FO is punting on the entire season.

Unless someone drops unexpectedly, I'm not sure there are many guys that will be able to step in right away to be that #2.

I guess we'll see what the numbers are, but Green feels like settling, like most everything this offseason.

How much?

At this point money should be drying up. My guess is 3-4 million. Good news that no dollar amount is reported.

God, no.

I'd kind of become numb to the offseason in this lull before the draft, but, damn, this revs me up again.

Top target getters should be:

Hopkins
Ertz
Green
Conner
Moore
Williams
Draft pick(?)

If Kyler holds out of voluntary work and (God forbid) some of training camp, it’s better to have someone he’s at least kind of familiar with already in the system.

Guess this guarantees we won't be drafting a WR at #23 now lol. I'd love to get Wan'dale Robinson from Kentucky in the 2nd round though, kids a baller.

I'm fine with bringing AJ back. I'm not as down on him as some here. Yes he had a couple major brain farts last year. However he also had several key catches that moved the chains. At this point in his career if he can get 700-800 yards receiving I'll call it a win.

I guess my thing is given his age and how he finished I think it's unlikely he's even as good as last year let alone better. I think part of being a #2 Wr now is being good enough to be effective if the #1 goes down, AJ really wasn't.

Based on how it looks with edge and CB I'm almost certain our first pick is going to be a WR.

First of all, I sincerely doubt if Green will be our #2. But, he will certainly know our offense better this year, especially since we will have a normal preseason this year. Something he didn’t have last year.

Have the Cardinals ever had a true 2 TE team? Maybe that would help everyone, especially KM.
