seahawks have always suffered from putrid playcall, often times the play looked successful because wilson improvised
Yup. If Bevell is the hire, Wilks can already get to packing in about 3 years.

If you assess Bevell from the years in which he actually had a decent offensive line, then you can see why he is highly regarded. Even though Russell Wilson made so many great impromptu plays on the move, there were challenges for Bevell in trying to develop Wilson as a pocket passer. The less they could run the ball effectively in recent years, the more challenging this became because of the need to pass more frequently. Thus, it's difficult to get an accurate read on Bevell's coaching acumen.

Darrell Bevell is a hot coordinator. Arizona bringing him in tonite for interview and other teams interested as well
I think this means the Cards are more than likely going to have a mobile QB who can throw on the run & actually carry out a bootleg in the playaction game. About damn time! :mrgreen:

I'm good with the hire.

Could be worse: We could've hired Herm Edwards and created a New Leadership Model

<ducks for cover>

I was reading about Richard Rodriguez again today. How you come out with Sumlin is beyond me.

Ouch.

That's only if Lamar Jackson is the draft pick at #15. :)

But then if LJ is the pick I would think you would want Bevell as the OC since he has experience with mobile qb's.
