If they were only being considered for coordinator roles, permission must have been asked for that accordingly...AND the PATS and EAGLES could have blocked the interview. I doubt the Eagles would block DeFlip for a promotion, since they aren't losing their OC, but the Pats most definitley would probably block a move for Flores, since they are losing Patricia and would undoubtedly want to keep Flores as their DC.
That may be the case this year but they did block a team from taking DeFlip last year.

Please not another deal with the Eagles for their backup qb.

We lost DRC and a 1st round pick for Kevin Kolb

Fool me once shame on you ...fool me twice shame on me.

correction. it was a 2nd rd pick. I don't want Foles but that doesn't mean I would never trade for a QB from the Eagles ever again, that's just silly.

Don’t roll your eyes, the expectations of PP from his HC just went up & that’s a good thing!

How do you know that? How do you know that Steve Wilks thinks that ?

I want 100% proof of that statement, and not some opinion full of hubris from someone on this board.

If not, that is just complete speculation. 100%

He’s one of the few CB’s in the game today who refuses to hit people.

Fake news. Pretty hard to have a job in the NFL if you are telling coaches you are not going to hit anyone.

Patrick Peterson is no Ronnie Lott. He is not a great tackler, but to say he refuses all contact ?

That is ridiculous.

You must be registered for see images

TJ you know darn well when you watch games that PPs effort in games isn’t 100%

Only people that "know" the effort being made is the Cardinals, and Patrick Peterson. You and others can say you know, but that is literally impossible.

Personally, I believe what he Cardinals feel about Peterson, over what a few disgruntled fans, some living 1000s of miles away from AZ, think about it in their own heads.

If Peterson becomes better, then that is great. As for effort, you have as much knowledge as I do on the subject, and that is NONE.

If you can pick that up based on what you see on TV, then you should go into coaching.

With the kind of $coin he is making, you should expect more from him as a fan.

That is cool. As a fan you are free to believe that. I am fine with what we are getting out of Peterson, and can think of about 10 things off the top of my head that are more of a concern.

Hey, he's the same Ray Brown that played for the Cards in St. Louis and Phx...1986-1988.

Per Wiki, Ray brown is the oldest player to start an NFL playoff game at age 43!. He has a resume. Don't know how good of a coach he is though.

Ray Brown is in his seventh season with Carolina and second as offensive line coach in 2017 after being promoted from assistant offensive line coach, a position he held for five seasons from 2011-15. Brown's linemen helped the team produce 30 consecutive regular season games with at least 100 rushing yards from Week 6 of 2014 to Week 3 of 2016, the longest streak in the NFL since Pittsburgh tallied 43 from 1974-77.

"He is my story pretty much in a coach's version. That sums up what he is perfectly, and his star is about to become a contagious combustible flame for those guys. He's a leader of men: not boys, men. Trust there's a difference there, which enhances and drives them to excel; a General to whom I would follow to the end. I'm pretty sure most know this. I've been pretty adamant about him. Hell, Cardinals got a steal!" -- Washington cornerback Josh Norman to ESPN's Vaughn McClure on new Cardinals head coach Steve Wilks. Norman played for Wilks from 2012 to 2

If anyone really knows how the potential new coach will use Peterson, look no further than how Norman was used during his time with the Panthers.

Do you think he can setup an elite defense?
I think he has the scheme for it. Also, the Panthers have more defined roles and so it should be easier for Wilks and Keim to identify what they need. I also think our talent lends well to a quick turn to a top 10 scoring defense with a good scheme. I cant' speak for the offense, but I do believe that Wilks gives us the best chance to maximize our defensive personnel.

I think it was Aikman yesterday that alluded to the fact that most great cb's are usually not good tacklers, or something to that affect.

Keep wondering if or how the 3-4 D will transition to a 4-3. Also keep recalling Sean McDonough's interview where he said Wilks was by far the most impressive assistant in the league that he met this year (and he told that to his brother, Terry).

I think he's actually been their guy, since Friday...but the Cards are known to not do much, if any business - or make announcements of any sort, that could take away from what other teams have going on. So, with Championship games going on, they probably held off until today, to finalize things and make the announcement.

Keeps getting better and better, minus the Bevell part. I'd take the other two in a heartbeat.

Eagles wouldn't let Jets interview DeFilippo for their OC position, I doubt they let him go to AZ. Yes, they can block him.
