Thats what we thought about season 5 and it just plain and simply sucked!. Other than Adriana getting killed it was easliy the worst and most uninspiring season.
Hopefully season 6 isnt a huge letdown as well.

With 'The Sopranos' set to return to US TV screens next month, the series creator, David Chase, has confirmed that the acclaimed drama will end next year, but added that a big screen outing remains a remote possibility.
Speaking to the New York Times, Chase said: "It may be that in two or three or four years I could be sitting around and get an idea for a really great 'Sopranos' movie."
He continued: "I don't think that will happen. But if one morning somebody woke up and said this would make a really good, concise, contained 'Sopranos' story, I wouldn't rule that out."
The new 12-episode season of 'The Sopranos' begins on US TV on 12 March; the final eight episodes of the series will be broadcast from January 2007.
Based on the previews and common sense, I'd still say there's a 90% chance that Tony Soprano is dead. There's a chance they don't want to be too predictable, but Tony's death makes the most sense. The only other option I see is him entering the Witness Protection Program, but he'd have to have some pretty important information about other bosses.Brian in Mesa said:

Possible but previews can be deceiving. For the past 2 seasons they kept giving hints and building suspense about a war between 2 of the families but nothing came out of it.

Re: the guy that hung himself. He has been on the show for many years and I still don't know his name, I would even venture to say that his part in this episode accounted for 50% of his speaking parts throughout the whole series.

Great premiere, right when it skirts the soap opera area, it pulls out all the stops and hits the audience over the head.
