Another rumor on UCLA boards that Tyler Lamb might be reconsidering his UCLA commitment for UA.
I continue to think it won't surprise me at all if a kid that picked UCLA when UA had no permanent coach changed his mind now.
Especially when you consider when he verballed, UCLA didn't have Moser, and most people felt Lee was a 2 year player. Now Moser is being groomed at the 2, and Lee got hurt and didn't play that much as a freshman so leaving after his soph year looks less likely now.

With Parrom and Hill I am not so concerned with the truthfulness of Lamb reconsidering his commitment. The frontcourt is more of a concern, with Daniel Alexander committing to Texas A&M I would hope we could land a PF like Jordan Latham who committed to Miller before his resignation and has re-opened his recruitment.
Everyone hear about this Vander Blue kid who just decommitted from Wisconsin? Apparently it was because of what he read on Wisconsin's message boards. Sucks for the program.
Moving on, what's the likelyhood of UA trying to grab him? I mean, let's just say (and I hope it doesn't happen) that Wise goes to Europe. It would be nice to have a Four Star PG recruit to step in. OR, even better, if Wise does stay, it would be great for Blue to learn from one of the best PGs in the country.
But we probably don't even have our hand in the cookie jar. I was hoping Archie was recruiting him to Ohio State, but that doesn't seem to be the case.

If Wise doesn't come back an option could be Lamont Jones. If Floyd is fired as Russ is hearing then MoMo may want out especially if the NCAA comes down hard on the program.
Well that would be interesting. And I know this is a lot of hearsay and speculation, but what would a board be without that? Also, I need SOMETHING to obsess over now that it's summer time.

Miller said as soon as this weekend which of course wsa Memorial Day weekend so it hasn't happened yet. Scott Wolf has reported something similar in his Daily News blog that he hears USC is gearing up to fire Floyd.

The problem
Mike Garrett hates Tim Floyd, is a former football player, and knows that football brings home the bacon to USC. I'm guessing he fires Floyd to be the scapegoat for the institutional mess and appease the NCAA. All the NCAA truly wants is some heads to roll to continue the charade that they actually care about amateurism so Garrett will give them that and they'll leave football alone.

Would that really be how it works? Even if Cal was the brains and everything behind the infractions, will the NCAA still go after Memphis?

Pretty much, that's what happened when Sampson left Oklahoma for IU but he was stupid enough to get caught for infractions at IU too.

The NCAA didn't directly name Calipari in any of the violations. now call me naive but how can the coach not notice that the brother of his star PG is riding on the team plane and staying in the team hotel for free? Come on just because Calipari didn't personally pay the bills doesn't mean he didn't know it was going on.
Amazing as it is if Memphis' wins are vacated calipari will now be the only coach in NCAA history to have 2 final 4 appearances vacated, and he'll have got off unscathed both times. Also if Memphis forfeits the 5 tourney wins that year they'll have now forfeited 14 tournament wins alltime(they forfeited 9 over the Dana Kirk probation).
I'd say UA definitely should be thanking their lucky stars they didn't wind up with Calipari or Floyd because it would be guilt by association.

I STILL can't believe that Livengood wanted Floyd over Miller. We are incredibly lucky that Livengood was turned down by Floyd and forced to look elsewhere. (I couldn't be happier with Miller though, I'll give him that).

I don't know, if Arizona hired Calipari (and he would be the coach had Donovan accepted the UK job) they'd be a preseason top 10 team next year. Regardless, I'm ecstatic about Sean Miller and am confident he's going to do some pretty special things in Tucson.

back to recruiting, rumor from Scott wolf of the Daily News and also from multiple USC boards is that MoMo Jones is about to decommit from USC pending them granting his release. Apparently USC had some dinner event last week and several fans who attended were told by Floyd that Jones had asked out and Floyd was tryign to convince him to stay but said he wasn't sure if Jones was going to stay or not. Wolf says he's likely to decommit next week.
Jones committed when he was scheduled to visit UA so one would assume UA would be on his short list if he does reopen. Talk about a kid with a fear of commitment, he's already reneged on verbals to Louisville and Va Tech and played at 4 different highschools.

According to Zagsblog Momo's godfather is on the UA staff, anybody know who that is?
I'm guessing he was added after Jones originally picked USC but honestly I don't remember the chronology if that happened before UA hired Miller or after.
I find it hilarious that USC fans are now bashing jones "it's his 4th commit what a mercenary", yet they had absolutely no problem with him when USC was his 3rd commit. And given what's happening at USC can anybody really blame the kid for leaving?
Some former player of KO's named Sean Wink is posting on USChoops now. he claims KO once called him at 3am to cuss him out on the phone, and once threw a chair through a tv set during a halftime tirade. He played for O'Neill at Northwestern I think.
