Steve Nash played his best defense he's played all season. Print it.

i was SHOCKED when i saw parker back off his drives more than once because nash was still in front of him. in all fairness i think parkers ankle is still bugging him.

Nash's 3 with about 5 minutes to go was the clutch shot of the year for the Suns so far. They couldn't get anything going on offense before he hit that shot.

If the Suns lose any of their key guys for an extended period of time it won't matter who the backups are, they're screwed either way.

Although I think you could say the same for pretty much every team when it comes to playoff time.
Exactly. As I have pointed out a while ago, statistics show that teams that lose key players for even so much as a single game in the playoffs do not win championships.

I've never seen so many fair-weather fans as on this forum. I'm relatively new here. Is it always like this around here?

Pretty much. Consider it pent up frustration of having not won a title for 40 years. I think the Spurs series last year pushed some people over the edge.

BTW - This place can use a little more Judy Finkel, so welcome! ;)

I agree, Green Machine, Any major injury would probably eliminate any team at some point.

I'm thinking about any small reason for missing a game or even half a game. Small injury like turned ankle, or ejection or suspension...even fouls

Like today with Amare and Shaq each getting 5 fouls at the beginning of the 4th quarter. They could have both fouled out. Who would we play? Skinner... Would he feel he is ready if he hasn't played in the last month or two of the season? We will probably need him at some time this playoffs and we could still have a chance of winning if he was prepared to play just in case, otherwise be ready for nash, barbosa, bell, hill, diaw (girecek) vs bigs.

Why paint yourself in that corner when you dont have to??????

Just so everyone knows...so no one tries to run off and complain about being singled out.

Shzm13 7 day ban for cursing.

Mojorizen 1 day ban for cursing.

Buddyfranklin 1 day ban for cursing.

I gave lighter sentences to Mojo and Buddy since they only cursed once. If someone else is breaking the rules, please do not consider it an excuse for you to break the rules.

i dunno if you own this forum or are just a mod but you need to redo the rules.. banning people for cussing is pathetic.. we are adults and hear cursing on tv on a daily basis.. and if there are some kids on this forum which i highly doubt anyone of them would be under the age of 16 they are subjected to it as well..

banning people for name calling is pathetic too..

do you just have a sweet set of rules implemented so you can ban as many people as possible?

That was the hardest I have ever seen Nash work on defense, and it paid off. Its amazing how much better the defense is when you don't start with a weak link at PG.

You are SPOT ON there. Think how we laker fans felt with smush! Arrrggghhh

Nash finally played some D and it showed.

banning people for cursing is a genius way to build up users on this site.

I can get my point across without cursing, and I would hope that you could as well. If not, then I'm sorry, but the education system has failed you.

I went to spurs board and couldn't stand it. The name calling was ruining the good posts. Keep banning or it turns into jibberish.

I totaly agree!!! Though... it does bring to mind the suspensions of amare and diaw last year and i would bet a VAST majority of posters here would say the suns got hosed. However, simply abide by the rules.... no problem.

Umm...not at all the same.

The rules here are evenly and consistently enforced.

Great, great game by Shaq. I have tried to be positive about the trade, even though I am a big Marion fan. But I did not expect ShaqDaddy to play this well this soon. I figured maybe by the playoffs, and possibly not until next year after a full summer with the Sun's trainers.

The big man into the stands 3 rows up, over the youngins? For real? That was amazing. I just hope he can walk tomorrow morning. Time to work the Suns trainer magic...

And give it up for Steve Nash. Heck of a game defensively for him. And there is still lots of room for improvement on the offensive side - still too many turnovers when the Spurs trap, hack and grab him at the 3pt line. Oh, and yes Virginia, he is the least respected 2 time MVP by the refs. Bowen should be fouled out by the 3rd quarter in every game he guards Nash.

Much better coaching job by Mike D. Still ways to go, but he used Bell better (fresh for the 4th quarter and on Flopinobli). He emphasised defense. Wish he gave Skinner a little burn though, given the late foul trouble on Shaq and Amare.

Amare did well too. He played a decent game with some big moments in spots, even though he did not 'get it going early'. That's a sign of maturity for him. He used to not bring the energy if he wasn't in a groove early and getting buckets.

And Grant Hill, Ladies and Gentleman. The quite but deadly Sun. Dang...he is an amazing addition to this team. What a pro's pro.

I think this game showed significant progress by the starters. That's the first step. One or two more games of them bringing it together, then it's time to work on the bench play. It was pretty bad today. Diaw and Barbs have got to play better by the playoffs. Both had some really nice and really horrible moments today. Same problems as before...just need to get the second unit good enough to not lose the game when Nash is out.

The Warriors game will be interesting. A valid concern now is that the Suns can beat the Spurs in a 7 game series, but are too old and slow to beat a team like GState or the Hornets. They have the right mix of talent to play both kinds of games now - grind it out and up-n-down. The question is if they have enough time to get everyone in tune to both styles.

i guess the education system failed John McCain too.. he has a pretty foul mouth..

either way it shouldn't matter.. i'd support this site if they didn't have such ridiculous rules..

how was it not evenly enforced?

The definition of "altercation" and also "vicinity", as well as Duncan wandering onto the court during an "incident" not resulting in a suspension.

But, that's not the point, point is your analogy was pretty far off base.

its pretty well documented.. your ploy that people who curse are uneducated is idiotic.

No, my comment meaning that if you really can't get your point across without cursing and thus, get mad when you aren't allowed to, then there isn't much that can be done for you.

McCain gets by just fine, I think, and you don't hear him bemoaning the fact that he can't curse whenever he wants to.

McCain can curse whenever he wants to though. We get banned if we say a curseword..
sorry but we aren't in 3rd grade and shouldn't get reprimanded for using foul language.. thats part of some peoples regular vocabulary.. take my College baseball coach for example.. couldn't finish a sentence without using the F word at least once..
