I'm thinking that it's going to be opposite. I think we may have the refs' sympathy.
You cannot get any calls shooting jumpers and that is essentially we will be doing today. Guess who was the primary player on Suns frequenting the FT line? Maybe few calls now or then when Nash and Barbosa drive to the hoop.

I think they are going to let us get away with a lot more than they have been. Or maybe it's just wishful thinking! :)

HELLO???!!!! That is CLEARLY obvious. I'm a HUGE ball of rage right now.
I think we need to channel this rage in a positive manner. We need to fly you in and get a seat for you near Spurs benches and just wait for an appropriate trigger, a bad call against us or a no call against them.

Just giving you hard time... :D

Here's a thought that combines the best of 'forfeit' with play hard -- if it becomes clear at any point that either 1) we are going to be blown out, or 2) the refs are going to continue to allow dirty Spurs play, then Coach D immediately pulls out Nash, Marion, Bell maybe, but certainly Nash, and let him rest until it's over.

The orders to the guys on the court are to do anything necessary to exhaust and frustrate the Spurs -- don't worry about offense OR defense. Let them get a 210-70 win, but make them pissed-off jellylegs by the end.

Then in Game 6, our well-rested starters can play OUR game.

I'm ALL for it. I've often dreamed of having a time machine and in that dream I can change anything in the history of the world. Do I go back to Nazi Germany and kill Hitler before he gets a chance to rise to power? Do I stop John Wilkes Booth from shooting Lincoln? No, every time I have the dream, I grab a VCR copy of Game 6, go back in time to 1993, then scalp tix and I literally tackle John Paxson before he gets the ball. I then show the Video tape to the Phoenix cops to show that I'm really a hero, but it's different and it has me on it now tackling Paxson, instead of the Paxson shot. I'm in jail, but happy. I've stopped the worst moment in my sports life.

i have many problems.

They might even "accidentally" chop em at the knees or "just by chance" end up in the spot they are landing after jumping.

Time for payback and a championship

Ug, I just found out some annoying news:

My Uncle (moms brother) is a Suns season ticket holder and has playoff tickets, his seats are in the lower bowl, on the sideline, about 12th row- fantastic seats. So anyway, my Uncle is really sick and can't go to the game tonight, so he wanted to give the tickets to one of his friends. But his friend couldn't come to his house to get the tickets for some reason, so my Mom did him a favor and picked up the tickets and delivered them to the friend. SHE HAD TWO 12th ROW TICKETS IN HER DAMNED MEATY MOM HANDS.

Why couldn't she have said "Sorry, I got mugged on the way to giving the guy the tickets" or something like that? I could've been at the game in the 12th row tonight! Damn you Mom!!!!

I gotta tell you, it's funny, but it's times like these that I really appreciate being a Cards fan. There's NEVER a level of disappointment with them as there is with the Suns. Sure, there's an entirely different level of amazement, shock and awe at the ridiculous ineptitude that the Cardinals repeatedly demonstrate, but that can be laughed at and mocked. Hell, my favorite shirt is the Cardinals eye crying with the tag "I'm a loser" underneath it.

But this just sucks. I am BEYOND PISSED and seemingly taking it out on anyone and everyone who comes near me. I've been honking at people on the road for not driving 30 miles OVER the speed limit like I am, I EXPLODED at a Ralph's Grocery store worker for not wrapping my chicken wings up properly and apparently woke my roomate (who's still sleeping) slamming doors all over the house. This is not rational behavior. During the pre-game last night on TNT, they started talking about the suspensions and then Kenny pointed out the Duncan on the court thing and I literally started screaming at my roomate louder than at any time the night before.I then stopped and started laughing at myself. Then, I went to go play basketball and absolutely BRUTALIZED one of my best friends, taking out all my aggression on him, as if the Spurs were taking over my body.

i can't watch tonight. I can't watch a game that has already been decided by the league. I will be screaming at EVERY THING - no matter if it's good or bad and I can't put my apartment complex, my roomates or myself through that.

so pissed.

sorry for the rant.

Pretty much my thoughts exactly

Suns are a 3.5-point dog...they were a 3.5-point favorite yesterday. I'm surprised the line is still so close.

Only 3.5??? That's outrageous. You can actually get someone to give you the Spurs -3.5?

I'm shocked that they are still taking bets in Vegas!!! They should have suspended betting.

If suspended, there is no more line, and it remains the same as before (no money being bet, no change of the last line).

So what will be the matchups if Barbosa starts?

KT - Duncan
Marion - Elson
Nash - Bowen
Bell - Finley
Barbosa - Parker

Barbosa has struggled whenever he was put in the starting lineup.

Heard Asst Coach Phil Weber on the radio. He said that they would have Barbosa on Parker at the beginning so I took that as Barbosa will start.

Barbosa has struggled all series so we really have nothing to lose by starting him.

He needs to be the guy that really goes off tonight. C'mon LB!!!!
