I do not think D'Antoni should have played the bench any more than he did! This is the playoffs, the intensity is enormous out there. Burke did not look good and it is because of this.

D'Antoni is an excellent coach and one of the best in the NBA.

I think the only part I have a problem with is starting Barbosa. Barbosa has not been playing well, and he needs to watch from the bench to start the game like he did all year. D'Antoni was probably hoping that starting him would help in changing his bad playoffs and get him going, but it did not work.

your welcome!

OMG, when did Cheese become the voice of optimism?!?

In either case I was pretty down after the game too. My wife basically knew not to talk to me the rest of the night...

But I've been a lot more upbeat today after a nights sleep and some encouraging posts from everyone here, cheese included.

That can only mean good things.

It's clear we've reached bizzarro Suns universe, what with the optimists all depressed and the pessimists all upbeat. In normal universe Suns would lose this series. In bizzarro universe suns will prevail.

I don't like how we got scared out of single-teaming Duncan. The minute we started doubling him, the downward slide began in earnest. But I'm not second-guessing D'Antoni. We almost pulled off a miracle.

The minute before we started doubling, wasn't he 4/5 from the field?

Did you watch the game? Doubling Duncan won us Game 4 and got us the big lead in Game 5.
