Congrats Lakers fans, the series showed how much better the Lakers were. I thought the Lakers does not match up to the Spurs as well as the Hornets, and I originally thought Spurs in 6, but this just shows how off I was.

Neither Doc Rivers nor Flip Saunders would have the coaching abilities to match up with Phil Jackson, the Lakers should win pretty handily in the finals.

I'll give you that PJ is a very good coach, but how did he get so smart compared to the last couple of years? Better players perhaps?

I think coaching matters, but only to a point. Bad coaching will hold good teams back, it will never make a champion out of an average collection of players. We don't know if D'Antoni is unable to get over the hump, or just that he lacked the players to get over the hump. I'm kinda hoping it was him, but I'm not counting on it.

-- Marion was a great jump athlete who couldn't shoot from the outside and was too light to defend on the inside.

-- Nash is a great offensive player and a defensive liability.

-- Stoudemire was asked to defend the post against guys 40 pounds heavier with no physical inside help and an emphasis on not fouling.

-- Bell is a solid outside shooter but gets put onto the SF when trying to get more three point shooting, thus shooting over bigger guys and having to defend much bigger guys.

-- Diaw is playing PF against buys who are 40 points or more.

Maybe if the Suns weren't always being forced to play out of position or play 40 minutes a game, they'd play better. Still it make me wonder.

I'd like to qualify this post by saying as a person I hate Kobe, for numerous reasons I'd rather not get into.

That having been said, he is absolutely, hands down, no questions asked, the best player in the universe. If there was sentient life somewhere on another planet, i give 10-1 that Kobe takes em in a game of one on one (50-1 if it's Sam Cassell).

I'd like to thank all the Suns fans that were rooting for the Lakers in this series...and there were many. With that kind of Karma, we were able to slay the dirty playing beasts, despite a crazy series of Spur fouls going uncalled late in the game (shoving pau, tony parker shoving off = foul on Fish, etc).

Thanks for the good karma. Our guys will try to win one for the West in the Finals, and if it is against Boston, I hope Suns fans will remember when Boston screwed them out of a title two decades ago and will want us to slay that green cancer too.

Hell, West above East...I'd have been the biggest suns fan if they were in this position too. I hate both Eastern Conference finals teams...douchebag teams if there ever were ones.

Go Celtics.
or Go Pistons.

Man, that was the biggest beatdown I have ever seen in NBA history. The Spurs didn't even belong in the playoffs, not even in the EAST!

How can you say the Spurs didn't belong in the playoffs? They are the same Spurs that beat the Suns. If the Spurs didn't belong in the playoffs, then the Suns and the Hornets didn't belong in the playoffs either.

I loved that shot because it directly made people who bet FOR the Lakers a collective 100 million dollars, and lost the same amount for peope who bet AGAINST the Lakers. Eat it, suckas! That's what you get for betting against the gold.

You know Sasha's gotta love the rep he's getting.

If I were a player, I'd want to be despised by opposing fans. I want to need a police escort just to get in and out of the arena. I'd want other teams to have to put up temporary fencing around the field of play just to keep enemy fans from attacking me.

Sasha is so into other player's heads. It's awesome!

Im pretty sure it has more to do with all the lakers on this board and the man crushes they have on him more than he is feared.. This statement just goes along with why so many people on this board are tired of lakers fans.. The arrogance and self righetousness of you guys is sickening.. As if you are deserved any and everything you get..

Cant wait for the response to this and how Im wrong.. Its inevitable..

Yes, you being wrong is inevitable. :D

I never said Sasha was "feared". He definitely gets in players' heads on defense, though.

You'll have to take that up with guys like Melo and a great many others who have choked Sasha, threw elbows at him, got Teched because of his actions, etc.

It's a long list. The guy pisses people off, and I love it. It's like the Lakers finally have their own Danny Ainge.

That shot was ridiculous to take, very unclassy as the Spurs had already surrendered and were not even playing D. It was classless, but then again I guess Lakers fans like that.
