Stackhouse SUSPENDED for game 5! Wow - looks like Stern REALLY doesn't want to hand that trophy over to Cuban.

Not sure about this - I mean, you have to foul Shaq pretty hard to stop him from scoring on the break, but on the other hand, if you do that kind of foul to anyone else, it's possible they go down with major damage and it's clearly a flagrant two and a suspension.

Regardless, screw Dallas and Cuban's whiny ass. He seems to look for reasons to whine constantly... well, you just got a real good one bitch!

I think it is consistent with what they've been suspending people for this postseason.

I think they're too tight with the whistles and suspensions, but if they're gonna be, stackhouse's foul definitely warranted a suspension.

Checkout the poll on espn.com if stack should've been suspended. Then look at the map, the only state as strongly opposed as Texas... Michigan!

Every poll question involving the Finals, I've noticed Michigan results favor the Mavs almost as strongly as Texas's results. Man those Pistons fans are some bitter people.

interesting Stack got a suspension for that foul. Walton's flagrant on TT was just as bad and happened when TT was airborne, making it potentially more dangerous.
There was another such flagrant by the Lakers - was it by Kwame on Diaw? - which was just let go.

Cuban mustv'e sent Stern a tape complaining that it wasn't a flagrant foul and the commish mustv'e decided on seeing it that the foul was worse than a flagrant. Hence the suspension!

In short, Cuban got :moon: ed !

nah - I don't buy the above. There's a difference to me when a player is going for a shot under the hoop and gets fouled hard like TT did, versus someone flying in on the break and getting absolutely pulverzied like Shaq did. But that's just my opinion and I guess the league's as well. TT was at a standstill, ctaching the ball and was just starting to go up when Walton dragged him down, while Shaq was running at full speed and in the air when Stack nailed his ass. I think there's a difference there, subtle, but still a difference.

Either way, screw Dallas. The next WCF that wins the Finals is going to be THE SUNS, not some bitch-ass Dallas crew.

I think the league should have suspended Walton and Kwame.
But it was the start of the playoffs and I think they were caught off guard, and it was the lakers for gosh sakes, they were not going beyond the first round!

I also remember that TT was already a step toward the basket after catching the ball, he was not standing still when Walton "grabbed him and not the ball."

Kwame foul was worse, and was surprised at that time that his walk over and the glare did not get him a game suspension!!

At the time, I thought Stackhouse's antics warranted a flagrant 2 and an ejection(which didn't happen), but I don't know what to think about the suspension, since the league has been so inconsistent with this crap.

Last night's game was the first I've watched of the series, and I'm so glad I was able to see Dallas get demolished. I'll be watching the rest of the series from now on, hoping that I'll jinx Dallas.

In Hollinger's chat today, he made mention of the Stackhouse foul on JJ last year in the playoffs. Saying something along the lines, it was not the first time Stackhouse has done this in the playoffs, so, he has a track record of "hard fouls", and that could come into the leagues reasoning.

Wade saved the day for Miami on that play. Shaq was gonna kick his ass, and as soon as Shaq hit the floor, Wade was all over him, trying to stop him from doing something stupid.

Instead of Shaq getting thrown out, Stack gets a suspention. Awesome.

I've hated Stackhouse ever since he went speedbag on Jeff Hornacek. Stack will get his when he comes back. Paybacks are a bitch.

yep, Wade had to pounce on Shag to keep him down. Wonder how much fun it would've been to see Shaq kicking Stack's ass. would've been just awesome!

I really admire Wade for his maturity and heart! At the start of the series, i was kinda rooting for Mavs to win cos' of Dirk being friend of Nash's. Now I can't stand Cuban's arrogance. and Stack deserved the punishment for that play.

I still can't believe Stack practically bowled Shaq over. I mean that was some serious blunt trauma to both players.

ps - go heat, go wade, go marquette

Avery blasted the refs on the radio the other day saying "I've kept my mouth shut for too long about this. Certain players get special treatment in this leauge. The coaches have no say in things and the NBA reminds us of that constantly. If it's Shaq with that foul, he'd get a slap on the wrist. It's a bunch of Bologna"

I say GOOD and FINALLY. During this year's PO, the commentators have been constantly talking about Avery's "hard foul" policy. When Howard didn't get suspended for his foul on TT, Avery decided not to let up on his strategy. He was gonna keep on instructing his guys to commit hard fouls until a suspension was handed down.

You guys all sound bitter to me, I don't agree with the suspension at all! he first went for the ball and not getting it tried to stop shaq from making the shot, his momenum is what carried him into shaq, but he made no extra effert to in any way injur shaq it was hard and probably flagerant but it was not as bad as lukes foul. luke followed thru on his play and shoved him on his way down!

David Stern and his puppet , Stu Jackson suck.

Stern and ABC finally got their 6th/7th game.

Stackhouse made a BB play and O'neal acted like a weenie. Combine star treatment and the NBA's desire to control revenue games and it really sucks.

How about Dampier's foul on Diaw in game one? The one where he threw Diaw to the floor from mid-air. I thought that was kinda bad too.
