Hmm

Heist Plot line- Kirk and company come up with a brilliant scheme to steal currency from the Bank of Romulus

Western Plot line- Kirk and company ride starfleet's newest personal space vehicles, H.O.R.S.E.S. (Humanoid Oriented Research Supply and Exploration Ship) to round up space cattle that have gone missing. Only to find that the evil Klingon ranchers have been stealing their space cattle.

Thriller Plot line- Kirk's green skinned girlfriend is abducted by master criminals operating out of a secret base in an asteroid belt. Kirk won't pay the ransom, but he will pay the kidnappers a visit...

I would go see that for a dollar.

Charity promo video (ala Star Wars) from the Star Trek crew includes their newest cast member (likely the villain) - Idris Elba.

Maybe I am in the minority. I was half expecting the Enterprise to race an alien ship around the closest moon for pink slips or dilithium chambers.

I am not sure what I just watched there. Is that Star Trek?

I was waiting for Vin Diesel to jump out of the shuttlebay on a motorcycle onto a Romulan ship.

God, this trailer has left me depressed. I may not leave the house for 2 days.

Yeah, I'm looking forward to it. It's basically Fast and the Furious in outer space--my buddy told me one of the FatF directors is directing. Since I was never a hard-core Trekkie, I'm alright with it going wildly off the rails. Now, were I a hard-core Trekkie, I'd probably be boycotting this lol

Hmm, this may be better than the first trailer indicated.

By far the best trailer so far. I am still half expecting a drag race in space.

Anton Yelchin, Chekov from the Reboot movies, including this died today :(

Apparently he got out of his car while the engine was running and in neutral in his driveway which had a steep incline, and got pinned between the car and a block mailbox attached to a security fence. Friends found him dead and the engine was still running. Wow. Sad.

That is a sad thing to read about, but the circumstances? This is an epic Hollywood Darwin award, so it is.

that was my thought as well...wtf was he thinking?

Will this change your opinions on Anton's circumstance? (Especially if determined as the cause of the rollaway.) --> http://jalopnik.com/anton-yelchins-jeep-was-included-in-rollaway-recall-lin-1782277820

The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed that the car that rolled into and killed Star Trek actor Anton Yelchin was a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee, a model that Fiat Chrysler recently recalled after its unconventional gear shifter led to several documented rollaway accidents.

Yelchin, 27, died in an unusual and horrifying incident early Sunday morning when his SUV—a Jeep Grand Cherokee—was left in neutral and apparently rolled down his driveway when he was outside of it, crushing him into a mailbox.

At the time it wasn’t clear whether Yelchin’s car was a 2014 or 2015 Grand Cherokee—the two model years covered by Fiat Chrysler’s voluntary shifter recall. But this morning, LAPD officials confirmed to Jalopnik that Yelchin’s SUV was a 2015 Grand Cherokee, meaning it was among the vehicles covered by Fiat Chrysler’s shifter recall from April.

The investigation into Yelchin’s death is ongoing and authorities have not determined the exact cause of the wreck, but this is almost certainly something they will be looking into.

Fiat Chrysler said in a recall notice that the shifter confusion had led to 41 injuries. Those injuries resulted from incidents like the following, which were reported on the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s complaints database, emphasis ours.

MASSAPEQUA, NY:

THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE. WHILE SHIFTING TO THE PARK POSITION, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO STOP AND CRASHED INTO A GARAGE DOOR.

OLIVE HILL, KY:

THE CONTACT OWNED A 2015 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE. WHILE PARKED IN A PARKING LOT, THE CONTACT’S VEHICLE ROLLED AWAY AND ANOTHER VEHICLE CRASHED INTO THE REAR OF THE CONTACT’S VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED AND TOWED TO AN UNDISCLOSED LOCATION. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED AND THERE WERE NO INJURIES.

GRESHAM, OR

THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE. WHILE THE ELECTRONIC SHIFTER WAS IN PARK, THE VEHICLE INDEPENDENTLY MOVED BACKWARDS AND STRUCK ANOTHER VEHICLE. THERE WERE NO INJURIES AND A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE MECHANIC WHO STATED THAT THE REAR PASSENGER SIDE BUMPER WAS DAMAGED AND NEEDED TO BE REPAIRED.

http://www.nytimes.com/2016/06/21/business/jeep-that-crushed-anton-yelchin-had-been-recalled.html

The 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee that rolled backward down a driveway and killed the actor Anton Yelchin early Sunday was a model that Fiat Chrysler has recalled for a gearshift issue that has confused drivers, leading them to accidentally leave the car in neutral when they think it is safely in park.

That just suxx. Cars are not supposed to be that complicated.
The Darwin award is usually the first thing to pop in my head when I hear of accidents like this. I am a well known ass....and now I feel it.
Suxx for the kid,...and really suxx that Chrysler released a vehicle like that.

Can you say mega lawsuit if his car was part of the recall? Any family would be able to sue for future earning but for an actor? That's a TON of money. Freaking sad.
