What amazes me is that we still don't really know what the plot is. Amazing how they are keeping it under raps so well.
During the Prequels the movie novel was always released a few days prior to the movie...this time around the novel isn't being released until 2 weeks after the movie (although it will be available as a digital release the day of the movie), this goes to show how badly they want to keep audiences "spoiler free".
Don't forget the Phantom Menace soundtrack - released two weeks prior to the film - with tracks like:
9. "Anakin Defeats Sebulba" 4:24
15. "Qui-Gon's Noble End" 3:48
16. "The High Council Meeting and Qui-Gon's Funeral" 3:09
That sword is still idiotic.
That sword is still idiotic.
No argument here, the rest of the costume looks pretty good though.
In the article it says the lightsaber was home made and he was by no means an expert at building them, so that may explain some of it.
Maybe the Knights of Ren used weapons with a cross-guard. Then when he built a lightsaber, he made it in the same style as a first attempt. Based on the red blades looking so wavy, it seems pretty clear this thing isn't particularly well-made or stable.
I don't have a problem with the sword either. In fact, I think it might be symbolic in someway to the story. Maybe the First Order sees themselves as crusaders of sorts.

Right, but the minute a light sabre blade hits that cross-guard, it'll be sheared apart and the dude will lose a hand. Or should.
I'll only be okay with it if the guy put midichlorians in the cross-guard LOL

You aren't a real Jedi until you lose a hand or two.
