Was Leinart listening to his ipod on the sidelines? Using a handsfree? I saw him put an earbud in his ear.

Honest.

Look at 'Leinart's list.' Damn impressive.

Britney Spears
Paris Hilton
Alyssa Milano
Scarlett Johansson.
Maria Sharapova.

He's every manwhoure's hero.

Hell, he went into the Pantheon for me when he tagged Alyssa, and following that up with Scarlett?

I think Leinart could totally take Ryan Reynolds. Not trouble at all.

Kurt needs a break because mentally he is shot right now, you can see it in his eyes. His body language and confidence are blown right now. When the playoffs begin put him back in. I want to when the next 2 games but we need to think about the long term. Warner is gun shy, holding onto the ball too long and seems rattled at this point in the season. The Cards cannot improve their playoff position at all right now so Wiz needs to see if old #13 can get a spark with a 2 week rest.

No way. We came this far with him and it would likely personally insult him. This is a tough want to win guy. I agree he should not play all of both games. He needs at least a half in each game. If the games are out of reach early then bring in Leinart to give him some experience but Warner has to stay sharp and in sync with his receivers under game conditions.

All of the starters, including KW, need to play in this game for one reason that has nothing to do with trying to win the game: the weather.

The forecast calls for cold wintry conditions, including below freezing temperatures, rain, sleet, and/or snow. The players need to figure out how to adapt to the elements. The conditions they are going to face will be unlike anything that can be duplicated in Arizona during practice. They have a valuable opportunity to experience it first-hand, in game conditions.

This is a chance to practice their execution in less than optimal conditions. Do they have problems gripping the ball? Catching it? Holding on to it? Are there uniform/equipment issues they need to address? Each player will have a different perspective and they will all need to experience playing in the cold, wintry weather.

It's possible that we'll have to travel to the Meadowlands in the divisional round to face the Giants. That is NOT the time to experience the elements for the first time. They will need to have lessons learned from the New England game to apply in their preparation and help their confidence for the next time they are in a similar situation.

They shouldn't waste Sunday's opportunity by just giving the guys the day off. It's not necessarily important that they win the game, but they better work on things and learn from the experience.

They can rest at home against Seattle the following week.

Disagree. I think if we play the starters all we do is confirm the fact that we can't win in these conditions.

Warner needs rest, you can see it in his body language.

I'm up for the idea of resting a few of the players and coming out with a different set of plays, formations, etc. when the playoffs arrive. Is this gadgety, tricky, etc.? Hell yes. Let's face folks, we aren't going to win without a few surprises.

Think of Miami versus New England early in the season when they broke out the wildcat formation. The Pats were totally unprepared, Miami won a few games because of it, the confidence shot through the roof and now all of a sudden they are in the playoff hunt. As much as I hate to admit it I think we're dead in the water without something new being injected.

I still believe this week should be essentially a pre season game. Then they need to ramp up and beat Seattle for momentum for the playoffs.

But that won't happen. The Car*s will most likely play it straight up Sunday. That's just the way most football coaches work.

I would like to know this, if Warner and other starters would get rusty sitting for a week why would you want the bye? Sure you have to win one less game but wouldn't your chances of losing that 2nd round game increase?

Now what exactly did we accomplish by starting Warner today?

Yea it's all Warner's fault. Nobody could win with the line, the lack of running backs. Most teams defend the Cards only to pass and look how well Warner still does.

The Cards problems run much deeper then Warner.

agreed, but your QB has to show some kind of leadership or confidence. Are you confident that Warner can lead this team in the playoffs? Kurt has been shaky for the last month of the season.

It might help though if Warner's passes didn't look like some skeet shooter nailed them about halfway to the receiver.

Kurts passes looked like crap. Just terrible. There is NO excuse for that, not from a pro-bowl starter.

No thanks to an extension. Ride or die with Leinart. Build a running game and improve the defense. We ain't going to win jack shi by slinging it. Fun to watch, but 7 seconds or less didn't win a title for the suns and it won't work for the Cards.

Probably best right now to take the money that we would have to invest in Kurt to bring him back and try to get some quality Type A free agents. We need a couple of good interior linemen, a pass rusher (Suggs, can you hear me) and some depth in the secondary.

Cards need to become a more balanced team rather than a one trick pony. And by bringing Kurt back, we will perpetuate this vicious cycle and probably have a losing record next season.

He doesnt run the ball or provide defense. His ability to be a great QB would be greatly enhanced by a good running game. As it is most teams know the Cards can only pass it so it's a lot easier to defend them.

Put golden boy leinart back there and see how bad we would be.

Warner is slow to handle the ball off and wants to throw the ball all over the field. He doesn't want the team to run and becomes a hinderance to this team becoming more than one-dimensional.

I took the good and the bad with Warner. Right now all we are seeing is the bad. 9 straight incompletions, no excuse for that

Warner wants to throw the rock!!! That's why he is so comfortable in the shotgun. Even when he had success in St. Lou the passing game came 1st. Warner doesn't fit what Wiz really wants to do, let him go.

Chandler AZ.
Leinharts "touch", right now, is 100% better than Warners. The throw to Urban was beauty, and the TD to Fitz was also. Same O line, same "non" running game.
I have to go back to what was sais earlier; Warner "LOOKS" washed up. I'm not saying he is,but he don't look right.

Perfect analogy.

Is it something in the water that no Phoenix based team can be a defensive stalwart? Seems like all we want to do is score points.
