The Tennessee high school girls basketball season finished last month but you can put your stamp on who you think should be the Knoxville area's girls basketball player of the year.
We have 12 players to choose from, all of who made the 2025 Knox News PrepXtra basketball.
The poll will close at noon on April 25.
Here are the candidates.
Maddie Braden, CAK: Braden was a Miss Basketball finalists in DII-A after averaging 19.4 points, 4.8 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 2.8 steals while shooting 50% and leading CAK to a 26-9 record and a DII-A state quarterfinal appearance. She was named Second Team All PrepXtra for 2025.
Avery Brewer, Central: Brewer was among the top scorers in East Tennessee, averaging 24 points and five assists. She had a 43-point game (second most all-time for a single game in school history) and was named to the All PrepXtra Third team.
Camryn Brown, Northview Academy: The senior shooting guard was named All District 3-3A, All Region 2 and TSWA All State after averaging 13.6 points, 2.3 assists, 2.4 steals and 4.2 rebounds. She made 91 3-pointers and guided 33-5 record and an appearance in the TSSAA Class 3A state championship game. She was named Third Team All PrepXtra for 2025.
Karina Bystry, McMinn Central: Bystry averaged 27.5 points and shot 36% from 3-point range while guiding McMinn Central to the Class 2A state tournament. Bystry captured the TSSAA Class 2A Miss Basketball award.
Maliyah Glasper, Gatlinburg-Pittman: The point guard averaged 18.7 points, 4.9 rebounds three assists, 3.3 steals and shot 39.1% from the 3-point line. She was named District 2-2A MVP, district tournament MVP, Region 1-2A All-Tournament and the Class 2A TSSAA state tournament team. She was also named to Second Team All PreXtra for 2025.
Meeyah Green, Webb: Green averaged 13.7 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 4.5 assists while shooting 52% from the field and 34% from the 3-point line. She earned Division II-AA All-East Region and took home the DII-AA Miss Basketball award.
Natalya Hodge, Bearden: Hodge Hodge, a Miss Basketball finalist, is a three-year starter who averaged 25.7 points and 3.9 steals this season. She was MVP of the District 4-4A tournament and was named All-Region 2-4A for the third straight time and was named the Knox News PrepXtra girls player of the year for 2025.
Ayana Porter, Oak Ridge: Porter averaged 15.3 points, 5.1 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 4.3 steals while guiding Oak Ridge to a 30-4 record and District 3-4A and Region 2-4A titles. She was named Second Team All PrepXtra for 2025 after guiding her team to the TSSAA Class 4A state tournament.
Amaya Redd, Catholic: The Tennessee Tech signee averaged 16.5 points, eight rebounds, three assists, two steals and a block while guiding Catholic to a 19-16 record that included a trip to the Division II-AA state semifinals.
Harmony Sullivan, Morristown East: Sullivan averaged 15.7 points, 4.2 rebounds, 4.1 assists, 2.2 steals and was named District 2-4A player of the year, district tournament MVP, Region 1-4A Tournament MVP while guiding East to a 28-7 record and that included district and region titles. She was named Second Team All PrepXtra for 2025.
Carsyn Swaney, Heritage: Middle Tennessee State signee averaged 18.4 points and shot over 40% from the field. She was named to the All-District and All-District Tournament teams and was named to the BCAT All-State team. She was a Class 3A Miss Basketball finalist and helped guide Heritage to the program's first ever state championship in March.
Guard: Skylar Walden, The King’s Academy: Walden averaged 16 points, five assists and four rebounds this past season while helping TKA to a 27-8 record and an appearance in the TSSAA Division II-A state championship game.
