WE got all of our Rookies in.
WE got everyone in camp. Which rocks!

So do we go with what we got or do we still keep an eye out for some Free Agent who gets cut?

Like Mr. Wilkinson and such!
Thoughts?

We still need defense and that is obvious. Our defense is not good enough right now. Sign some guys and lets see what we can do.

I think we should try to get Wilkenson. We certainly could use more depth at DT. With all the competition at WR and LB we could use it at DT as well IMO.

Could Smoot be available for a #2 next year? Is that asking for too much for him? Listening to Mac's gobblygook about Starks makes me more nervous about our CB situation than ever, but is Fred the answer?

Depth? he would be a starter for sure.

You assume you are going with what you got but are always keeping an eye out for FAs who become available. Two positions I am still uncomfortable with are CB and DT in that order. We could get by with the Dts we have although I like the idea of a Dline that looks like this:

Johnson/KVB, Bryant, Wilkinson, Pace

I think that could do some real damage.

CB is going to be the achilles heel of this defense even if Starks returns healthy but especially if he doesn't...and I am not confident some huge upgrade will become available. An improved pas rush will certainly help but nobody ever wants to make the statement that "While and improved pass rush will help the DBs, the Dbs need to help the DL's ability to rush the passer". I have this bad feeling the pass rush will be improved but the lack of coverage is going to offset the new rush. JMHO.

Can you imagine the trash talking back there between he and Dexter. Add in Wilson's confidence and we certainly would have some swagger.

I know it sounds like heresy, but what about trading one of our surplus receivers for Smoot? We've got too many. Spurrior is hurting there.

And, yeah, if Wilkinson is healthy, willing and can get in reasonable shape soon - get his butt over here.

A swagger is what this team is missing. We need some attitude.

Mac nor Graves would not trade for a guy who has a lot of baggage. I rather wait till the next year to sign Either Woodson or Bailey than trade for Smoot.

Jeff.........ironic to see the words "surplus" when talking about our WR's.........if we could trade 1-2 WR'S for Smoot, I say let's do it. Now which of the following: Untouchables: B. Johnson; A. Boldin; M. Walker; B. Gilmore and J. McAddeley......which one of the following would tempt Spurrier: N. Poole; R. Newhouse; A. Savage; K.Kasper; L. Foster......my take, pick any two?

Wilkinson as a Card????????? I say he sure. Let Barron Tanner loose.

A 2nd round pick for Smoot? The Foresking will gladly accept a 3rd or 4th for the guy. I like one of the WR to be traded for Smooth. How about Walker for Smooth?

Smoot only have one year left on his contract, so a #2 pick is too much.

It would be VERY stupid to give a draft pick for a CB right now. I read in an article some time ago that 10 - 15 of the best CBs in the league are eligible for free agency next year. I can't remember all the players, but the some of the names that I do remember are: Charles Woodson (OAK), Fred Smoot (WAS), Chris McAllister (just signed a 1-year extention), Champ Bailey (WAS), Bobby Taylor (PHI), Fernando Bryant (JAX), Jason Webster (49'ers), David Barrett (AZ), Winfield (BUF) .

That's a lot of good CB FA next year.
