DK Metcalf is well-known for his work ethic, getting extra work after practice, pushing himself to the limit in training, and meticulously studying film.
So when Steelers.com reporter Missi Matthews asked what was the most significant piece of advice his NFL dad gave him, Metcalf's response was no a surprise.
Metcalf's dad, Terrence, was a guard for the Chicago Bears from 2002 to 2008. He played in 84 games with 25 starts.
In a 2020 press conference, Metcalf's then-quarterback Russell Wilson said:
Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin certainly knows the kind of worker Metcalf is. Perhaps he can instill some of his dad's wisdom into George Pickens.

Always work hard. I think that hard work is a good foundation for everything that preceeds with my playstyle. Always working on my craft. Always trying to get better. Always trying to win football games no matter what the case may be.
