As has been rumored for weeks he apparently enrolled today. Still no word if he'll get his appeal or not to be eligible this season, if he does USC looks really good on paper.

it sure seems convenient Angelo Johnson left SC so they have a ride for Alex but I'm told it's coincidence.

If Stephenson plays this year it firmly entrenches USC as the second best team in the conference head and shoulders above ASU, UA, Washington, and possibly Wazzu. Although he shouldn't be allowed to play in my opinion, his flirtation with ASU and Cal made it pretty clear that the intention behind his transfer was probably playing time.

Gosh no. I surely didn't. Thanks for the suggestion. Should I google Stepheson, as in the initial post, or Stephenson , as in the 2nd post?

Wally he's a basketball player. he left UNC because he wasn't playing much and with their front line returning and his dad sick he decided to transfer. Mao is right as soon as he flirted with ASU and Cal we all assumed he'd never get the waiver since it was obvious it wasn't just his sick dad that prompted the transfer. That said, he did pick USC which is close to home so maybe all that matters is where he picked I don't know.

I agree wtih Mao too on paper SC is #2 and you can argue #1 in the conference.

They have much more depth up front this year and they're more experienced than even UCLA if Alex is allowed to play this year.

C- Gibson Junior
PF- Stepheson junior
SF- Derozan frosh
SG-Lewis junior
PG- Hackett Junior

I've assumed all along even when it looked like Alex was going to UCLA that he wouldn't be cleared to play this year but Parrish and Jeff Goodman both hinted he might be allowed to.

It's also somewhat significant that this is really the first time that Floyd and USC went head to head on a "recruit" with Howland and UCLA, and won.

his mom and sister are both SC grads so there were reasons beyond basketball but it's a very nice pickup for them and if he's cleared this year it really impacts their season.
