That’s fine if you’re growing up in culture that is teaching you good habits/ways of management. But that is beyond opposite of what’s transpired in the franchise… for the last FORTY YEARS.Have you ever been in the position where you're being groomed to take over for your supervisor/manager or similar and when you finally get the position you implement a plan that's not exactly in line with the previous? I have on more than one occasion. I've also had those who worked under me take over, when I've left a position or been promoted, and totally changed things up. It may happen more than we think.
If you have any ambition and want to make a name for yourself, you don't just keep doing what your predecessor did 100%, no matter how successful they seemed to be.
This culture is ROTTEN. HAS ALWAYS BEEN ROTTEN. Do you realize this team has only sought outside help at GM ONCE in 40 years? We have been failing candidates upwards for decades and have been, by and large, complete failures on the field as a result the overwhelming majority of those 40 years.
Expecting different results from the exact same process where we promote from within AGAIN is the definition of insanity.
