I don’t believe this for a minute. Typical Cardinals organization. Don’t have the balls to be accountable and fire him outright. He should have been gone years ago due to performance but especially after the dui fiasco.
Now this is probably an undermining way for the organization to push thru in house GM without doing an actual qualified search for a legit GM.
Kliff better be right behind this clown out the door

With Mike Leach's passing from a massive heart attack that was very unexpected maybe Keim is trying to prevent something major like that. IIRC, BA retired from AZ for same reason (heart related issues).
BA said he was retiring so he could spend more time with family. The old Danny Ainge retirement lie. Said he made the decision when he realized his grown son just turned 40. Wanted to spend quality time with both his wife and son. Then bam - back to the NFL in a flash !! SMH.

Arians is not a QB whisper(but a great coach with a good QB) and left because he no longer had a great QB or at least one which it was not out of the realm of possibilities rounding off. Then he comes back with Brady. John Gruden is the same way

He was in Tampa before Brady was, had to coach Winston for a season.
