.........I guess.

Alex Okafor is still in the league and producing, and Tyrann Mathieu ended up being a DPY candidate until injuries destroyed him.

No excuse for Jonathan Cooper (even though Chance Warmack never really did much either).

I do not even want to think about Kevin Minter with the 2nd pick when Menelik Watson was just sitting there, among other options.

Yet, Keim's draft history, is well known among the Cardinals fans, and it is not good.

The worst question to ask right now, is who is the best draft pick Keim has made at this point ?

Marcus Golden? Deone Bucanon? Budda Baker?

Come on now David Johnson and it’s not even close..Baker shouldn’t even be in the discussion regardless of his pro bowl selection is a special teamer.

He has not fared well but then by the same token the average years a guy plays in the NFL as a whole is three years and if one looks at other teams, it's not far off. Keim needs to improve by all means and stop his stupidity with potential gambles and small school 'gems' but the others do not fare that well either if you realize how difficult it is to make the NFL and make it a career. The Patriots had a few stinkers but Brady bails them out

That’s irrelevant you can’t keep having drafts like that and not retain your players that’s how the belly of your team gets ripped apart and you can’t compete....

Irrelevant to the discussion..they aren't being retained.

Who would you retain? Mathieu as 20 million a year when injuries ruined him? If Mathieu wasn't a shell of his former self, he would still be here.

Minter? No.
Cooper? was the right pick, didn't work, don't want him.
Okafor? Marginal and was not needed to stay.
Watford? he will probably be back this year.

I understand your point but the guys were either expendable or not worth the contracts they got. it is what it is.

Just like a third of the league!!
Teams with no players remaining on their roster from the 2013 Draft- Buf, Cle, Indy (only has one player left in the NFL-Kerwynn Williams), Denver, Jax, Mia, NYG, Oak, STL (once Austin is cut) and TB.

-8 teams with 1 player- Car, Chi, GB, NE, NYJ, TEN, SD, SEA
-9 teams with 2- DAL, HOU, KC, MIN, NO, PHI, BAL, SF AND WAS
-2 teams with 3- PIT and CIN
-2 teams with 4- ATL and DET

Watson and Warmack two guys not with the teams that drafted them, they would've fit in!

Yeah, well, I had a brain fart......I knew I forgot something! :D

Tough room, LOL.

In the end, I am certainly not going to defend Steve Keim drafts. Last year was the final straw to my support for the guy. Last year's draft was hard to stomach. SO MANY missed opportunities.

You’re telling me there are only 41 players in the whole league still with their team from that draft?!? That’s interesting (but still not an excuse. A good GM doesn’t retain ZERO from a draft)

I guess King Elway should be shown the door, along with Keim.

I’m not sure why you continuously do this but it’s not “Kyle from Richmond” lol. His first name is Kyle. Last name is Lauletta.
No crap, I rather say that then butcher his last name. Thanks for the correction, but since you bring it up I will continue to say Kyle from Richmond

actually 40, I counted Luke Wilson as still with SEA and apparently he's a FA. So add SEA to the 11 other teams with 0

That is a extremely forgiving take on that draft class. On Cooper, who knows if any other team in that #7 slot or lower would have taken Cooper. Most successful teams build through the draft.

5 of the top 10 picks that year were offensive lineman including 2 guards. So yes he was going to go high.

2013 First round Pro Bowlers:

4-Lane Johson
5-Ezekial Ansah
13-Sheldon Richardson
18-Eric Reid
20-Kyle Long
21-Tyler Eifert
22-Desmond Trufant
24-Xavier Rhodes
27-DeAndre Hopkins
29-Cordarrelle Patterson
31-Travis Frederick

That would have been a great year to trade down, the second half of the first round looks a lot better than the top.

Complain, complain, complain about a wonky draft class in 2013, completely ignore this masterpiece in 2015. Starting LT, Starting OLB that is a monster pass rusher, and David Johnson. Gunter and Nelson are still on the team as role players too. You can't just complain about the bad without acknowledging the awesome too. The draft is incredibly hard and you have no idea how this ridiculous amount of money is going to really change a kid. Could you imagine being 22 and being handed millions? It's no wonder half the draftees fail out quickly.

Round
Selection Player Position College

24 D. J. Humphries OT Florida
2 58 Markus Golden DE Missouri
3 86 David Johnson RB Northern Iowa
4 116 Rodney Gunter DT Delaware State
5 158 Shaquille Riddick DE West Virginia
159 J. J. Nelson WR UAB
7 256 Gerald Christian TE Louisville

DJ Humphries has started and been... okay in... 15 games out of 48?

Golden did nothing in season 1, had a great season 2 and was doing nothing again in season three before he tore his ACL.

DJ’s a megastud.

1/3 guys has proven himself in the league at this point. Not exactly somethzing to crow about, much less call a “masterpiece”.

Probably one of the most redundant threads I've ever posted in. It's SK fault players left in FA. Our best GM who has us competing every year and we continue to bash him. Look at our records from 1988-2012 and tell me how wonderful our GMs were. Unbelievable

Dennis Green had our best drafts in Arizona, it’s not even close. Hell I don’t know - I really think MEL Kiper and Todd McShay would hit more than most GMs- better than former players like Harrison doggie cards for Sam and price - former players are not objective -

Keim has kept us competitive, yes. But if you're going to be honest, in his tenure, we made the playoffs twice and won 1 playoff game. 1988-2012, we made the playoffs 3 times and won 5 playoff games and went to the Super Bowl. And let this sink in a minute. Rod Graves' acquisitions have won more playoff games and have gone further into the playoffs than Steve Keim. If you're being honest, you have to acknowledge that. Graves also drafted Larry Fitzgerald, Karlos Dansby, Calias Campbell, Jake Plummer, Pat Tillman, Thomas Jones(his career here stunk but he had a pretty decent career overall), Adrian Wilson, Anquan Boldin, Darnell Dockett, Antron Rolle, Steve Breaston, DRC, Tim Hightower, Patrick Peterson. With the exception of Jones, Plummer, Tillman, and PP the rest of these players helped us reach a Super Bowl. This doesn't count the free agents he signed like Kurt Warner, Edgerrin James, Bert Berry, Chike Okefor, to name a few. Now, I'm willing to concede that Keim has brought in some good players but had been beset by a lot of bad luck but when you look at the team and see that there are still players on this team making major contributions who Graves drafted but when you have an entire draft class gone and another with the possibility of being completely gone(those players being Niklas and Buc from 2014 who may be gone come June), doesn't that bother you?

Dennis Green had one draft and that was 2004 that produced Fitz, Dansby, and Dockett but considering our post SB draft not a single players is still in the league, yeah, Green probably had the best single draft but Whiz's 2008 draft gave us DRC, CC, and THT with all playing big parts in our SB run but Green gets the nod because he went against the grain and took Fitz when WR wasn't our biggest need and I'm glad he did.
