Compare Keim's drafts to the rest of the league & then you'll know exactly how he stands. It's easy to say he sucked because of this or that but it really doesn't mean anything unless you have a side by side comparison. Then you'll know if he is above, below, or just plain average at drafting players.

Green’s last draft was 12-13 years ago, it’s to be expected vast majority of players no longer in the league.

It's pretty much average. What most don't understabd is the majority of your picks will fail yes every once in awhile you have a great draft class but there is a reason the average career is 3 years

The NFL is as random as it gets. What if Palmer, DJ, Badger, Cooper, Golden, Humphries, Brown don't all suffer serious injuries how does this team look.

Sorry, could care less about the draft class of 2013. I'm mostly concerned about the Cards team of 2018. How many players last on the same team for 6 years in the NFL.

All of these players were healthy in 2016 and that was as lackluster of a season as we'll ever get.

David Johnson.

Yeah, that's a great pick but we all know from "All or Nothing" they were really going after the Detroit RB(cant think of his name right now). If they picked him up before Detroit stole him from them, David Johnson would have never been on the team. He was just a lucky pick.

Exactly. The average NFL career is 3.3 years. Look at the draft for that year, most players moved on or no longer have a team: https://www.sbnation.com/nfl/2013/4/27/4276432/2013-nfl-draft-full-7-round-results

There's just no winning Huh.
Oh, well, you're absolutely right. What an exciting team we had in 2016. Getting blown out by Buffalo, losing at home to a horrible Rams team, scoring 6 whole points in prime time. Yep, how did we not win the Super Bowl.

I'll give him one more draft class.... before I bump the threads where everyone jumped down my throat for saying SK sucked.

Yes, he is a God compared to Rod Graves..... But anyone with a pulse could have achieved the same amount of improvement.

Someone with a pulse AND a little luck, could have easily done better than SK.

SK Sucks anyone who doesnt see that is smoking ........... Keim gets outworked over and over! All he does is prove it deals, traded for Palmer and Jones and thats it. Sucks at drafting, falls in love with guys who switched positions in college or are from some Small School college we never heard. He inherited a Superbowl team...... Coach searrch, Arians and Wilks were both the dead last candidates, to be hired.
I bet Keim is fired in 1 or 2 seasons

If this is what you believe then I don't know what to tell you. SK is slightly above average as a GM. The win loss stats alone prove that.

The Win Loss stats are despite Keim. This team has 0 qbs 1 Wr horrible Tes a a Horrible O line 1 CB. This team drafts horrible and the holes in this team are from Keims bad drafts. Put together with Keim throwing money at a position due to piss poor drafting so he has to over pay to solve holes, leading to cap issues and Cuts. Keim gets way too much credit, the Cards win despite him.

Keim is like Coach Whiz, the Cards made the Superbowl despite Whiz coaching, not his amazing coaching talent

Graves drafted Fitz, CC, DD, AW, Karlos Dansby, Boldin, PP. Keim hasn't even come close to the level of talent Graves drafted. Hell, he's yet to draft anyone on par with Rolle, DRC, or D-Weed. Yes Graves had some clunkers but when you can point to a player he drafted as still here when Keim's first 2 drafts netted one player who is dangling off the cliff at the moment, it isn't even close. I'll grant you he got lucky with DJ and HB but for the most part, his draft picks have been iffy at best.

If I was a GM and had my own time machine I would be great. 2013 was 5 drafts ago. Between the cap, non-guaranteed contracts, increasing injuries and the gap between the NFL & the college game widening, draft results aren’t what they used to be.

I’d say SK’s draft results are middle of the road. You can’t just disregard players like TM whose skills were diminished by injury. Also his decision to leave was mostly ego. Cooper’s traumatic injury was not foreseeable. Minter was good enough to become a starter and was serviceable. Teams are still bidding for him. Ellington was an impact player. Taken that late the Cards got a great deal of mileage. He became injury shy. Major rehab wears you down. That’s not predictable. Taylor was a useful backup and Watford was adequate.

Except for Thomas & Powell, the 2014 draft was decent. Niklas was hurt often but the Pats still like him. Brown was an excellent choice before Sickle Cell ruined a promising career. Martin & Stinson were decent role players.

There are things I don’t like about his drafts, but Keim helped make this team a contender. I’d put him in the top third of GMs. This draft will be more critical than most recent events.

HB had the tools and talent. Had he not gotten into trouble with weed, he would have been a sure fire 1st rounder and we wouldn't have stolen him in a later round.

To a small extent, because Keim still drafted Johnson when his guy was not there because Keim had him rated up there to do so. We drafted Johnson and others did not who had the chance. Some people here are acting like when Detroit took Abdalluh, Keim reached into a bag with the names of all the remaining players in the draft and was lucky to pull Johnson out lol

If your gonna go that way with it if he didn't get in trouble we would have taken him in the 1st because everyone values an udersized safety right

.........I guess.

Alex Okafor is still in the league and producing, and Tyrann Mathieu ended up being a DPY candidate until injuries destroyed him.

No excuse for Jonathan Cooper (even though Chance Warmack never really did much either).

I do not even want to think about Kevin Minter with the 2nd pick when Menelik Watson was just sitting there, among other options.

Yet, Keim's draft history, is well known among the Cardinals fans, and it is not good.

The worst question to ask right now, is who is the best draft pick Keim has made at this point ?

Marcus Golden? Deone Bucanon? Budda Baker?

David Johnson and then Tyrann Mathieu.
