You're mostly right, I just think he's not the guy you bring in to start on a winning team, especially to replace Dansby, a rare talent.

Welcome to the board.

I agree.. but most people (including cheesebeef) were pining for Larry Foote back then. Foote could barely crack the rotation last year in Pitt and put up 21 tackles in 16 games.

Looking back in hindsight, would you rather have Lenon or Foote for more money than we paid Lenon? Or Foote vs. Bradley?

i'm willing to see what bradley can do. he had promise pre-injury. the part that bothers me is that it would take us outta the tulloch running. that part SUCKS. (but is beyond foreseeable with this FO).

and btw, for anyone that believes that graves' future is tied to the kolb deal, you're nuts. he's here to stay regardless . . . get used to it.

The question is, have you? Last year? When he got benched?

Yes, last year, when he suffered a concussion week one, and then hurt his achilles mid-year. He didn't get benched he got injured, and the replacement filled in and made him expendable. Yeah, yeah, so you can still say he got benched, but it is not as cut and dry as some are making it.

And the year before that when he was the center peice of the defense, and was very productive.

So, yes, while you won't answer the question I asked you. I have answered your question. I have watched him, more than I would have even liked to. You see a lot of Philly games when you live in the area.

So, when have you watched him play ? Since you are certain that he is so horrible.

The point is that this team was an embarrassment last year, we supposedly have all this salary cap space, and yet these guys are still shopping from the Scratch & Dent pile.

There are impact players available and they're kicking the tires on garbage and wondering "Well if we put some new paint on it, maybe it'll look good."

Isn't it the way the Cardinals shop. Let the other teams spend their money on the top players and then shop at the thrift store. They tried it at QB last season but they were forced to take a different approach this season.

one guy's missed 20 games the last two years while being pretty unproductive... one guy missed 3... and was gone on the first day of FA. It's not close BY A MILE.

It is going to be hard to have a discussion with you if you keep changing the "He sucks" qualifications.

We went from:

They haven't ever had simliar performances (which was false)

to

One was signed on the first day of free agency and the other is not.

That is possibly the worst qualification I have heard.

If you go by that, Nnamdi Asomugha has less talent than Steve Breaston.

You are not being very fair on either end. Over valuing Breaston because the Chiefs wanted him and undervaluing Bradley because we may want him.

You are letting your fear of the Cardinals past cloud your judgement.

Fear leads to Anger. Anger leads to Hate. Hate leads to Suffering. :jedi:

No, he missed the year before that with a blown ACL.

DOh! You are 100% correct Mr. Burmila. I was thinking of 2008. Point made.

I still think he is a good player, tho. But as you said the "if he can stay healthy" is the big red flag over his head. No doubt.

and it can all be traced back to being a cardinals fan padawan.

LOL this is true. The pull of the Dark Side is strong to Cardinals fans, especially in the months of November and December.

But it is August. Embrace the Light!!! :D

He might be good. My point is simply to question the mentality of the front office. This team was BAD last year. B-A-D. We have to spend money like drunk sailors just to get to the cap floor. Is this really who they consider the best available talent?

They may well be negotiating with other backers as we speak....this guy is young, and can play all the positions....makes him a great addition really...allows you to keep less backers on the final roster if need be.....kinda like having an OT who can play OG as well, and C in a pinch......like Reggie Wells was for us.
There has to be a little concern over the injuries, but that concern also brings down the price, which is why the signing happened quickly. A good backer, healthy, and in his prime, commands more money, and takes longer to work a deal with.

Camp fodder. We have 90 roster spots. So long as we didn't give this guy a signing bonus who cares?

Larry Foote. They actually had good linebackers keeping Foote off the field in Pittsburgh.

Paris Lenon looks like hot garbage as soon as you take your eyes off the stat sheet and watch him play on the field. Most of those tackles were made 5-7 yards past the line of scrimmage not because he was cleaning up after someone else, but because he didn't have the ability to make the play. Either in pass coverage or in run defense.

Paris Lenon played as good as Ronald McKinnon ever did, but neither of them should be starting on a team that plans to win more than 7 football games.

The Cardinals are reportedly "making a push" for free agent LB Stewart Bradley.

The Arizona Republic reported the Cards' interest earlier in the day, so this looks legit. Though Bradley has never played in a 3-4 scheme before, he's a talent upgrade on Paris Lenon. Not a pass rusher, the 27-year-old would play inside linebacker in Arizona's scheme. The Rams and Bills have also inquired.

He is close to 260 pounds is that right?

Maybe he would be better in a classic 2 down 3-4 ILB role where they take him off the field half the snaps.
