To begin the game with the Chargers on Sept 8th, what play from scrimmage do you think we will start the new season with?

Play action bomb to Brown right out of the gate. Let's give fair warning to all teams of what will happen if they play up close against the run.

Go four wide and send both Ginn and Brown on deep routes right out the gates. That would definitely send a message IMO.

A running play to the left side our line. Our OL gets first smack on the defense and the chances of turning it over to put ourselves in a hole early are greatly reduced lol

Why not just have Palmer take a knee. That would really reduce any chance of fumbling away the ball. Besides, it would truly catch the Chargers completely off guard.

A defensive stunt? 50% chance we don't even start on offense.

What? No quick kick? I'd settle for a positive run play.

Cooper pulls and leads Ellington to the right side of the field. Ellington slashes for a first down...and so it begins.

You should try a bunch of different ones on Madden. Then write a letter to the Cardinals telling them which one works best.

The awesome thing about being such a sarcastic curmudgeon is how hilarious it is.

I also like the idea of giving the ball to Ellington first play as well with at least one speed receiver in there to worry the defense.

I like the 4 wide idea, with a play action to ellington to the left side off off single back set, then bombing it to brown or ginn.

Then following that up with ground pound.

An end around with John Brown. Now that Levi Brown is gone we won't have to sing "john brown's body is a lying in the grave".

Don't like as our first play, but like the play. Ginn and Brown on deep routes. Fitz and Floyd on slants or outs. With Duke underneath... :grabs:
