kickoff approaching, here's hoping our guys are more awake for this early game than they were for Washington State, where they didn't wake up until 2nd half.

Forks Up!

Duke looks like a Jr varsity team compared to ASU.

jalen strong looks like the real deal. Wonder who'll draft him.

Sounds like the commentators are going for the blue devils.

gutsy call on 4th and 11! 30 yard gain on the fake punt.

welp Taylor Kelly missed a wide open receiver in the back of the endzone on the two point conversion attempt.

Deantre Lewis won't be playing

@jeffmetcalfe: RB Deantre Lewis has left #ASU football team and will not play in Sun Bowl"

Left the team permanently? Wonder what happened.

Richard is having a big game and Ballage had the big return. Next year's backfield could be interesting.

Whew. The Sun defense was not stopping anyone and then ironically the Sun Devils get a pass interception to win the game. Huge play.

Also have to say that kickoff return by Kalen Ballage was a game changer.

Wow, that was a heck of a game. Things looked easy for ASU in the first half, then that punt return TD by Duke killed us. We pretty much moved the ball at will.

I thought Duke's coaching staff did a remarkable job pulling out all the stops. Fake punt for a huge first down. Running back throws a TD off the sweep. But they ran out of tricks.

The deciding factor in the game was QB play in my view. Taylor Kelly was not spectacular, but he played solid despite some missed plays. Duke's QB was shaky for most of the game and was missing receivers regularly.

ASU had some very suspect play calling, including the 4th and inches where we pulled a guard on the interior running play and let the D right in our running back. That was an easy quarterback sneak.

This was a very stressful game for an ASU fan to watch. Fortunately, we came out on top in the end.

Next year is looking very promising with most of this young D coming back, together with Berco and playmakers Foster, Richard, and Ballage.
