Wow. I don't remember him.

Even with the recent wins we are still grouped together in the play-in spot. The Mavs, Lakers or Clippers could join us with another loss.

It is a toss up right now from spots 5 through 12. I dont see any of those teams throwing in the towel soon, including us, as they have a lot riding on the season with these outrageous salaries being handed out.

It shows we are not the only team paying for underperforming players. Clippers with Leonard. Lakers with AD and Lebron. You could even consider the Kings and Warriors to be in the same situation. I think the Mavs, Wolves and Spurs are happy (ish) with their current considering that the Mavs have both guys injured for a while, the Wolves shed salary and downgraded but are still winning, and the Spurs are upcoming and the addition of cp3 was a great move.

Jusuf Nurkic isn't with Phoenix Suns to begin five-game road Tuesday at Atlanta as he missed Sunday's win over Charlotte with the flu.Mike Budenholzer said before Sunday's game the Suns are hopeful Nurkic will join the team during the trip that ends Jan. 22 at Brooklyn. #Suns

It would be absurd to think the Suns will beat the league-leading Cleveland Have-A-Beers Cavaliers next week; in fact they might get their rear end kicked. The only thing they have on the Cavaliers is Donovan Mitchell being undersized. But...it sure would be glorious if they did beat the Cavaliers. It would probably shock and annoy the league.

It is absurd.

Any team can win any given night, but to expect the Suns to beat a top tier team is laughable at this point.

LOL, I just heard Draymond on his podcast talking about how Nurk threw a punch to get suspended because he didn't want to go against Draymond the next day. Then he went into his schtick about how Nurk needs to get some psychological help - you know just like Nurk said to him after their altercation.

I am not a Draymond fan, but I was laughing and found myself wondering if his theory about Nurk is right. All of which tells me how much I dislike Nurk. I hope he has played his last game with us.

It's not. Because Nurk already played against them since that time. They were talking about this on the radio. Draymond is an idiot and troll. After all the crap he has pulled he should be the last person talking about anybody getting help.

Yeah...no. Draymond is an idiot as Covert said.

I already hated Nurk before the Nurk/Green altercations, so there's that for me.

The Suns are the only team in the NBA this season that has allowed an opponent to grab 20 or more offensive rebounds in at least 3 games, per
@Stathead.They all happened in the last eight days.

Which is part of why I stand by the fact Nurkic wasn't the sole problem. This team has many problems, Nurkic may be part of the problem but sitting him entirely and bringing Beal off the bench wasnt going to fix what ails the Suns. The whole team needs taken out back like Old Yeller.

Of course Nurk is 10% of the problem.

I literally have a problem with everyone in the Suns rotation minus Dunn, Jones, and possibly Morris.

I'd swap Jones for Royce on the list that gets a pass but I'd agree outside of that.

If Nurkic was willing to accept a bench role here though he could reduce his percentage some now that we have Richards to start. I think we're going to see a multi-team deal within the next week though that sends Nurkic out of here so holding him for 2-3 games to ensure he's healthy isn't an issue. If he sits longer then I blame JJ for allowing this to linger.

I am thinking that he's the biggest idiot since Ron Artest, but more obnoxious.

The Suns are not done making moves ahead of the trade deadline.

Phoenix is hopeful to acquire Jimmy Butler, but they plan to continue scouring the market for another impact move.

In the Nick Richards trade, Phoenix acquired a $3.3 million exception they can use immediately.

I truly truly hope that it's just the Suns hoping they can get Butler without giving up much because of the situation. If it's beyond that? I am going to be sick.

That's only the veteran minimum. Maybe it helps in a few trades, but not many.

Yeah, it's not that useful. It can't be combined with existing salaries (AFAIK anyways), and we can't send cash out due to 2nd apron rules, so at best we'd have to give up the 2nd round pick to take back a minimum salary.

Nothing super compelling in this list that is available: https://www.basketball-reference.com/contracts/players.html
