Don't be so sure, I am reading Fox wants to go to the Spurs as his first choice. But I suppose Houston might out bid them.

I'd put money he ends up in Texas. I think Houston has more resources at their disposal. The Spurs also just drafted Castle, who has looked good.

beal's been removed from the starting line up - got heckled and harassed during the game last night - getting roasted on social media 24/7 but he's just keeping his cool

According to Gambo, the three first round draft picks the Suns received from Utah were not linked to the trade for Jimmy Butler.

Looks like Beal held his ground and maintained his professionalism, point made. Suns doing some backtracking a bit, and saying Beal for Butler wasn't being looked into...imo.

Beal still holds a little bit of value and of course has ntc power. How long will he play a good guy though?

A spinoff trade might be the best option for the Suns anyway if they can fix their front court.

He needs to be there where he can develop his offensive game and more confidence in his scoring. He has potential but he's a ways away from deserving the role of backup. He was the backup out of necessity early on for us pre-Richards. With the season getting more serious we can't afford to audition him further.

Agree, it's the best place for Oso right now, although it's a bit surprising as well, as he was the Suns backup center not long ago.

Also, the Suns might be anticipating a trade for a 4/5 soon.

They expect to be good in 2031?

Well that says it all doesn't it. They are not dealing with reality.
What are they going to say - "We expect to be terrible in 2031 so this is probably a lottery pick"?

Either way, it's ridiculous to project whether they will be good, mediocre, or terrible six whole years from now. That's a lifetime in pro sports, especially these days.

Nurk's days as a Sun is numbered. I wouldn't even be shock if he was gone before this weekend. He should be gone by no later than Tuesday unless these trades fall through.

He's a cancer. Plays slow and stupid too. Wouldn't want him for free.
Free or not, put him on your roster and you'll likely pay for it. I was a huge Randle fan when he was coming out of college but he's been the epitome of a me first player, it's never about the team for him. He has plenty of talent so I can't blame anyone for thinking maybe he'll finally grow out of it and this will be the team he shows up for but up till now, he's just been fool's gold.

How about not trading it.

Trading it shows they really are stupid enough to believe that BS.

How exactly can the team be good in 2031 when we have no draft picks and 1 young player currently? Are you really expecting us to find a couple of all stars from street free agents?

Do you see Charlotte and Washington signing good free agents to stay relevent - NO. That doesn't happen, good players don't sign on to garbage teams.

Thinking this team won't suck in 2031 if we don't blow this up ASAP is magical nonsense thinking.

im wondering if we bring oso back after nurk's ultimate departure - locker room might be a little tense right now but make no mistake - we need a third center on the bench - question is are we trading for one or do we believe oso can be a serviceable back up back up this season? because third string sounds about right to me - but it all comes down to rebounds

Agreed, except that I didn't really like him in college either.

Charlotte and Washington can't draft for their lives. Washington never had the right ingredients to put a team together as well to draw other FA, kind of like us now with Book and Beal, except it was Wall and Beal. The difference is that we have KD. Hopefully we don't suffer the same fate as Washington as we are building a team in similar fashion, luckily our owner is okay with spending for now.

Well it's going to be pretty hard for us to draft well with no picks at all.

We aren't going to have KD in 2031, and if we have Book he will be a shell of himself.

Both probably wont be on the team, so there's cap space. We've used our cap space on 3 guys making 50M with mediocure results, but who know what will happen by 2031. If you want to keep with this defeatist attitude why keep being a suns fan?

Cap space means nothing if you can't sign anyone worth the money you have available.

It's not defeatist, I'm just being realistic.

I've been a fan for 30 years and I am really pissed knowing that the team has no chance to win a title for at least the next 7 or 8 years. I'm not getting any younger. I am f'ng mad Ishbia keeps pushing that timeline out further and further being in denial that this team can compete for a title.

I’ve never understood that last question. I’m not in the same “the sky has fallen and will never rise again” mode some are here, but I def was during the 2010s so I’m never going to question why they’re fans, especially fans who take the time to waste as much time as we all do on a message board. We’re ALL the die-hardest fans of die hard Suns fans and those who see no hope are fans because they’ve been fans forever and that’s something they just can’t turn off.
