KD has one year left and Beal two after this season. George is washed and his deal runs thru 2028. Embiid making $70m in 2029 is unbelievable. That will go down as the worst contract in NBA history. Their draft pick situation isn’t great either after the Harden/Simmons trade from two years ago.

"on handoffs" LOL

there's no min game required for this stat?

I was thinking the same thing. Both stats seem rather reductive. Like KD's transition EFG%, although that has a minimum of 130 possessions. How many of those possessions is he part of each night? KD isn't a runner so I doubt it's many per game.

Beal has always been a handoff shooter though. He did that a lot in Washington. I watched a half dozen games or so the year he teamed with Russ and that was how Beal excelled. He'd get a screen while running for a handoff to get a clean look from deep. How often does he have those opportunities here though? I think he'd take a half dozen attempts like in Washington but he's definitely not getting that here.

Bird… he’s as gone as gone can be this offseason.
It will be an extension and trade I bet. They are not trading Book (as much as I think they should). So KD is the only player that can bring you back assets. Maybe then Bradley will waive his NTC but he might not.

Can they do an extension and trade?

Nah. We stink AND he knows we tried to trade him without telling him. If you’ve followed KD’s career at all, he’s forcing his way off this team this offseason even if the Suns don’t want to move him. Which they should anyway.

i agree - if kd wants to leave he's gone - and we won't be getting a kuminga butler type combo plus draft picks - because his new destination will have us by the kahunas

20 some games left. We know what Durant will get and Beal if healthy, Booker is the ?. But let's bash the two old guys that happen to be two way players

Our best chance for good value is if we can get Isiah Thomas to buddy up with some other owner.

We bash Booker quite a bit too, there's plenty to go around with this mess. We pay Devin like he's a superstar but he's no better than an average point guard. Of course, I remember the good old days when he was a stellar shooting guard but apparently that ship has sailed.

And Beal gets it worse than anyone. I don't think anyone has called him a two way player before either.

I think Devin Booker has been remarkably consistent over the years, although his shooting stats are slightly down this season.

This could be because he is giving up part of his game trying to make the roster work.

As a shooting guard, he was steadily improving as a defender. Even spending much of his time now as a point guard his stats are still okay (mostly) but he's just not capable of defending any of the PGs in this league and it puts our entire defensive scheme in jeopardy.
