book 3-16

he was out there with nothing but bench players at one point and was clearly the discombobulated weak link - it's not just his shot being off - he's off and it doesn't appear to be an injury?

regardless - as much as we're disappointed in this team - it wouldn't surprise me if they did flip the switch and start winning again
Whatever has happened to book is the most disconcerting thing I’ve ever seen from a high level professional athlete. Just lost ALL his mojo.

He showed up and contributed in a big way today. His body language wasn't different than any other game, maybe better since he played well. I liked how he had that moment with Dunn in the 4th. Dunn even gave him props in the post game interview.

I really don't understand the narrative that seemed to start creeping that he was a cancer and the cause of our problems. Beal has been the most mentioned influence from Dunn and Oso off the court when they're giving interviews at the training center. His name comes up more than anyone else's. He's a round peg trying to fit into a square hole here so I'd be surprised if he is here beyond this season. He stays positive though and his demeanor hasn't changed. I'm a fan whether he moves elsewhere or not. Hope he gets a nice stretch of good health to remind folks what he can do.

Yeah, I have no issues with Beal. I think I said this before, but the main issue is that he and Booker are the same player. Book is a little bit bigger, Beal is a little bit faster and more athletic, but at the end of the day, they are essentially the same player. I don't think Beal did anything wrong.

The most obvious problem I see is somehow his thread got "depreciated." :)

I actually like Beal and think when he is available can be a contributor. My problem is he messes up the rotation because Booker and Beal are redundant in the starting lineup, makes us smaller and it hurts us in the paint. Not to mention Beal is made of glass with a massive contract.

I think the move to the bench is good for the team but Beal doesn’t appear to be happy about it.

I don't know whether to make anything of that game. I enjoyed it, but did the Suns win for any reason other than Joel Embiid not playing?

Maybe not, but we accomplished getting Dunn a permanent starting role. They won't be able to get him out of the starting lineup and pretty soon he'll be leading the team in minutes played. He's the guy I've been waiting for to play next to Book.

Again, I don't think Booker is right. He can no longer elevate on his shot like he used too.

Whether it's because of injury or too much basketball, I don't know.

If it's permanent, he will have to adjust his game, which I think is possible given time.

Definitely giving Bridges vibes keep developing his offense and his D is solid!

I think Booker is as perplexed as you are.

His mid-range game and drives to the basket have been his bread and butter throughout his career.
I think it’s pretty clear he’s not 100% or in his head about a nagging injury or something. He is deferring a lot and racking up assists that speaks to me as though he knows he’s not right so trying to play thru it. His numbers are a little down but I think just a slump he will regain it, dude loves basketball and is a hooper he will be fine imo!
