The Suns play at the Pacers today with a reported 5 p.m. start although in the dark recesses of my mind I thought it was 4:30 p.m. I am probably thinking of the pregame show.

The Pacers have a number of injuries but these are the type of games that give the Suns trouble.

SUNS (8-5) at PACERS (5-7) … 5 p.m. tip-off (Phoenix time)

C: Miles Plumlee … Roy Hibbert

PF: Markieff Morris … Luis Scola

SF: Marcus Morris … Chris Copeland

SG: Goran Dragic … Solomon Hill

PG: Eric Bledsoe … Donald Sloan

Key Pacers reserves: Lavoy Allen, Ian Mahinmi, A.J. Price, Rodney Stuckey.

Key Pacers injuries: Paul George (leg fracture), George Hill (knee bruise), David West (ankle sprain) and C.J. Watson (foot bruise) are out. C.J. Miles (sore right calf) is questionable.

Something that I should have noted from the Paul Coro article at azcentral dated 11-22-14 (from the link above) is as follows:

The momentum for another win is not as good as it appears.

Indiana has overcome critical injuries far better than its 5-7 record suggests. The Pacers have won four of their past five games (including wins at Chicago and Miami) while holding teams to 84.3 points per game in those wins.

if we didn't have Green, i'd like to see a korver or copeland type player in phoenix. then we could have a more traditional type pf, instead of stretch 4 like marc or tolliver.

Channing Frye was the difference last year. We do not have what we did then, but neither do they.

end of the first quarter
Suns 30
Pacers 27
The three ball has been keeping the Pacers in the game, plus they've been attacking the glass on the offensive end of the court.

Four minutes left in the quarter and the Pacers color man is saying the tempo is in favor of the Pacers. Just said at the end of the quarter the pace has picked up. I wonder why?

How does a player like Wittington (#42) for the Pacers not get drafted?

The Pacers player which I referred is Shayne Whittington, 6'11", 250 pounds. He seemed to move well for his size.

Once Roy Hibbert twisted his ankle, the outcome was not in doubt. The Pacers have a lot of key players injured.

The Suns have never been a team to make their own good luck. 'Nice to see them benefitting (have a breather) for a change.

ESPN.com says there are no NBA games today. LOL, they don't show our game, wow.

Len was solid again tonight. He still is fouling, but overall he's positioning himself well on both ends.

He's 23-29 FG (79%) his last 6 games also, which is impressive considering some of those are jump shots.

Oddly enough, his shot blocking #'s have really fallen (1 block in his last 8 games). I've noticed he's not been challenged in post-up situations much lately, since players are respecting his defense more. That's where some of his blocks have come from. And Len is not a great weak-side / help shot-blocker because his vertical leap isn't great. It'll be interesting to see his bpg as the season goes on. I don't think his #'s will be that impressive, but he'll still be altering shots, which helps a lot even if it's not in the stats.

Also oddly enough, Len has 8 steals in his past 5 games ... He had ZERO in the 9 games before that, and only 4 all of last season!

Great points.

Don't forget his breakaway dunk!

Those altered-shots might show up in the +/-

His rebounding has dropped too I think. He needs to get back to it.

how is this game still going on at this hour? Was in interrupted for a couple of hours... its 11:25 Indiana time. My broadcast started at 5 pm our time and recorded for 2:40 - and I checked the video and the game started the typical 7-8 minutes in. So the game should have been over 2 hours ago...
