Tonight should be a good indicator of what kind of team the Suns really are. If they play well - most notably if they step up their defense - it might mean that the Suns are actually a better team than they have been showing of late. It is an 82-game season, and considering how well this team has played for the last 3 seasons, it's not always easy to get up for every game against the Bobcats and the Grizzlies of the league. But you know they'll be as pumped for tonight's game as they will be for any game this season. I know that isn't the perfect way to play a season, but these guys are human. Suns fans have complained about how they have been a bit disinterested in some of the games this season - and all they have to do is turn on the TV and sit on the couch. Imagine the way the Suns feel.

If they can play a complete game, I'll be a lot more comfortable about this team.

So far so good. Looks like they are going to Duncan pretty much every time, I guess trying to get Amare into foul trouble.

I am questioning whether Barbosa and Diaw can make a pass that isn't kicking it to whomever is standing at the three point line.

I really just don't understand Amare Stoudemire's post defense. He doesn't start playing any type of defense until his man gets the ball. It just doesn't make any sense. There isn't a defensive coach above the 8th grade level of basketball that would teach that kind of defensive position. You don't have to completely deny the entry pass, but you need to keep one foot and one arm in front of your man when you are defending the post.

You really can't blame that on anybody but Amare. How can he talk about getting better on defense, and then violate some of the most basic principles? It's mind boggling.

ok give it a rest, jez, it's not like this team is full of great defenders. If you can't seehow the culture of poor defense influences Amare then you are just lost.

LOL - I love Al McCoy.

Was listening to the live stream from nba.com for awhile - he is just ripping the Spurs, particularly Duncan, Pop and Horry. Called Duncan 'The Big Whiner'. Classic.

Course, Al is such a class act, when he rips on folks, it's still in a nice way. :)

Hearing the Spurs fans boo and complain after every call is almost as bad as watching the players do it.

I had to laugh out loud on that play. Not because of the foul (that's the type of foul I'd expect from him), I had to laugh at the audacity for him to argue that call. I mean come on...

Yup. Spurs whine so much now. Just nauseating to watch. For such a "great" coach, you would think Pop would tell them to just shut up and play.

Total flop by Manu. Whistle goes only after he fell down. Lame.
