Hopefully the pundits will look at this game and say that we are indeed capable of beating these punks. GO SUNS

very nice win for the suns sure parker wasn't playing but Vaugn and Duncan both played well for them and we still won. Hope this brings fire to the suns and they go on a nice winning streak plus its always hard to win in SA no matter what.

They didn't have parker, but I felt like we only had half a Nash tonight so that's a pretty even game. This is an important win if not for them, for my sanity's sake. :)

That may be true but you gotta believe that his shooting percentage is higher than most of his teammates so based on that alone statistically Spurs would have had a few extra points but team dynamics as a whole change so in a roundabout way I agree with you

Run on nonsensical sentence? I think so! :D

Statistically Vaughn shot very well replacing Parker. However, I didn't get a chance to watch the game. Did Marion just give up his game for defense or did he play poorly?

Who knew Boris would save our a**** and seal the win for us. Lets keep Boris for another game.

Anyways, great defense tonight. Some sloppiness. Just hope we can play this well when Parker comes back.

Pretty nice grind it out win. Ugly 3rd period that the Suns won.

It's a trade off - the team is slower this year, but they actually can play some halfcourt ball if they are focused.

Vaughn shot well, but the Spurs didn't get the transition points they usually get against us with Tony Parker in the game. Saying that the Spurs didn't miss Parker is laughable, the guy is one of the best PG's in the NBA this year.

Parker or no Parker, that was a game we needed to win and we did. That's good enough for me right now.

The Dallas game will be very telling to me.

We get whipped by dallas. Same as last year when we had the big win in dallas then got hammered at home by detroit.

But tonight and the utah win were good enough.

I didn't say the Spurs didn't miss Parker. However, it seems Vaughn did an admirable job filling-in. I wish the Suns had a backup PG such as Vaughn.

We do! His name is Banks and D'antoni doesn't trust him with our system farther than he can throw him.

Seriously though, I think Vaughn and Banks are pretty similar. Short defensive specialists with a suspect long range shot. I don't see a whole lot of difference in their games save experience. (this is without looking at their statistics mind you)

please don't make this argument. It's gonna force me to take away from what I thought was a very good win. Jaque Vaughn may have been "admirable" filling in, but considering that Parker regularly KILLS us, trying to argue it wasn't a huge loss for them on the floor just doesn't hold water. I think the win is bigger simply because it came in San Antonio, a place where they've held serve against Utah, Dallas and Denver, all with a bevy of injuries. We broke that streak and needed to desperately. However, as far as this being a gauge on where we are against the Spurs, I think we really don't know much yet... except Grant Hill should be able to give them fits. That I think we defintely do know.

Where have I argued that the loss of Parker didn't effect the Spurs? I'm just giving Vaughn the credit he is due.

I just think when people make the argument that a sub played well for the guy he was playing for, it's kind of a defacto argument that the loss of said player didn't figure much into the game. JMO and if it's wrong, my bad.

It's kind of sad we're excited over 11 points 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Yay Boris! Thanks for the big play at the end though.

I thought Vaughn was a nice pickup for the Spurs and something I wish the Suns could have done. However, I really would like to know if Marion had a sub par game or he gave up part of his game to play defense.

Are you kidding? Off the bench, with scorers like Nash, Amare, Barbosa, and Hill in the lineup I think that is a great game from Boris. I'd take that line every night of the week and say he was worth his contract.
